Hi Everyone!
I'm back!!!
Thank you very much for your patience as I navigate through these new waters. Just a couple of things I would like to mention to make your life easier :)
UPCOMING EVENTS:
I'm trying to keep the events page up to date. It's a little tricky right now as things are constantly changing, and each community has their own way of doing things at this period of time. If you have any questions about an upcoming event, please drop me a message. Messages I get notifications for, general comments on a post I do not get notified. (I'm sure that's a "me" thing, and I'm doing something wrong) How to register for an event is listed at the bottom of the event's general description.
YOUTH BABYSITTING CLASS:
I'm currently holding the Babysitting class at a reduced capacity. My wishful thinking that as more time goes by, class numbers will be able to slowly increase. Please check the events page often. Each community has been opening back up at different times. If you don't see your favorite city offering classes, perhaps the following weeks/month they will have their green light moment!
FULL CLASSES:
Because of the reduced capacity, the classes fill up quickly. Even if it is full, I encourage you to give that community a call. Most establish wait lists, and sometimes registered students are unable to attend that class, which enables a wait list student to be added in place. Also, when there is a large wait list, communities will usually try to pop in another class on the schedule.
ADULT CPR/AED:
I do offer private, one on one, small group / business / club classes. If I don't have a public class scheduled, please drop me a message. For your convenience, I'm available to teach 7 days a week morning, noon, and night- as long as I'm not already booked.
COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS:
(Youth babysitting classes, other public classes) At this time, I'm wearing a mask when I cannot socially distance from the students. All students must wash their hands with soap and water upon entering the class, after breaks, and after lunch. Or use my hand sanitizer. If a student would like to wear a mask but does not have one, I do have disposables (like what you used to get when you walk in a hospital) available for purchase ($1.00). The mask is then theirs to keep. Masks are up to the individual to decide (wear or not wear one- your choice!) The Manikins are spread further apart from each other. For group classes, the manikins are wiped off with Clorox wipes in between students touching them. As of right now (youth classes) we are not practicing our pocket mask use (so that nobody is breathing into the manikins). It is covered in the video, and I teach them how to use one. Youth classes; kids will be in close proximity to each other for small periods of time (break/lunch)- I encourage students to go outside and play/get fresh air during breaks/lunch if they want.
CPR COMPLETION CARD DELAY:
Due to Covid, right now the procedure for me to purchase cards is via "snail" mail. Once payment for class is received, I mail away for the cards, they electronically enter them into my instructor acct, and I electronically send them to students. If any adult/professional needs a letter stating that they have successfully completed their course, No problem! I can give you one. That should cover you until your card arrives.
Thank you again for your understanding, and patience. I greatly appreciate it. This is new for me too :)
I look forward to serving your CPR needs!
