What it is your Ritual? I ask because we all have one. Maybe the word sounds too esoteric, for some it brings unease and for other it brings peace. It also sounds religious, ancient, uncivilized, witchy, culty, magical, mysterious, satanic, but how about Humane? Maybe back a few thousand years it was wearing masks and praying to gods that embodied the elements; but now is your religious cup of coffee in the morning, is your meditation, your exercise, the cigarette mid-day, cooking, reading, dancing, love making... you tell me. We do this to commune with God. Of course God is not the Zeus that Michelangelo painted in the Sistine chapel; is not a he or she, but rather that sensation you connect with in your daily ritual. That’s the ONLY thing that truly makes us different from all living things. That sensation will always make you feel at peace, connection with yourself, inspired, and in some cases is what gives strength to overcome whatever situation. In the last picture, is two men giving to the Tree of Life, all the texture you notice is cuneiform writing. Now the Tree of Life is a whole mystical science trying to give a logical sense to life; but it is in essence that sensation you often connect to. The essence of life is inexplicable, illogical, and abstract. It is in the intentions of our ritual that lies our own unique key to commune with God. @ Jerusalem, Israel
