She came in worried about falling, especially with winter right around the corner. The fear of slipping on the ice was keeping her from feeling confident moving around at home and outside.
We started with a balance test and strength screening to understand what was really going on. The results showed that her overall lower body strength needed improvement. From there, we introduced beginner lower extremity exercises designed to help her safely move from the floor to standing and perform bodyweight squats several times a day.
Over time, those simple, functional movements made a big difference. She’s stronger, steadier, and more confident in her ability to stay on her feet.
