“We take photographs as a return ticket to a moment otherwise gone.”-Katie Thurmes
The next exciting Adventure Hike has been scheduled for Friday, July 28 at 8 A.M!
Join experienced photographer and Badlands volunteer Nickie as she demonstrates how to use your cell phone photography features to take amazing photos of the Badlands “off the beaten track”. Using creative angles, lighting, and unusual landscape features, participants will be able to produce unforgettable images of the Badlands.
Hikers should expect to get muddy or dirty, scramble and crawl through tight spaces, and follow the safety directions of the trip leaders. The hike will explore areas in Serpentine Canyon, Shelf Passage, Turtle Canyon, and Arch Canyon.
The moderate hike (4-5 miles) is free although you will need to register as space is limited. Due to the difficulty, the hike is open to visitors ages 16 and older. For more information or to reserve a spot, call the visitor center @ 605-433-5241.
