These resources are recommended reading to use as a jumping off point before starting conversations with your partner.

As you read them take note of what feels most relevant to you and your relationship–what do you most want to discuss with your partner? What are questions you’re curious about? While these posts can be a great place to start, the best work is done in the coming together with your partner. If it’s easier, ask your partner to read them as well and you can come together to talk about what stuck out to you!

It’s important to honor the legacy of those we’ve lost and mourn what was taken from them, as well as raising awareness for the violence our most marginalized community members face. But honoring those who have passed can’t be the only time we show up for our trans siblings–it’s important to work hard to change the violence they face so we don’t continue to lose them. When the only time allies show up is to honor those lost, the conditions our marginalized communities face never change.

This workshop will operate in an open dialogue, group therapy style discussion surrounding both cultural identity and gender identity. We want to begin our workshop series by highlighting the unique intersection of navigating today’s world as a trans/non-binary person and an immigrant.

The workshop is open to Trans and Gender Non-Conforming (TGNC) Immigrants and those with immigrant backgrounds, regardless of immigration status. Attendees can expect to learn more about accessing mental health resources such as therapy, discussions on gender, and cultural identity/intersectionality and belonging in today's current climate.

This event is free to attend! We ask that all participants sign up here. Spanish subtitles will be included on the presentation slides.

These articles are a good place to start if you’re just beginning to think about ethical non-monogamy–but while they answer many common questions that come up when learning about or practicing ENM for the first time, they can’t cover everything you may experience or need support with. Our therapists work with ENM individuals and relationships to help provide clarity, authentic communication, and support as issues come up. Get in touch today!
