Me..? I like to cook, create, organize and listen to music- y si sale un a bachatica buena tirar unos pasitos solita en la cocina.

This week was the first week in a year that I have felt hopeful and optimistic of the future and I’m transforming that energy into action and that’s exciting!

Tips for navigating parent child relationships in therapy:

1. Be honest, the child is also a human talk to them about the process don’t sugar coat it and come up with a plan

2. Help the parent brainstorm ideas to address the problem behavior, give tips on how to remain calm even when angry

3. Offer resources whether it’s you assisting the conversation or family therapy, give them a positive and productive way to improve on the situation.

Sometimes, the path forward feels hazy. That’s why we’re taking a moment to tune into our hopes and create a bridge from now to next.

Grab your journal and try this visualization exercise:

The Future Self Letter 💌:

🔮Visualize the version of you six months from now—focus on how they feel and the values they embody.
📝Write a short letter from that future self to your present self.
🧿What is the one essential piece of wisdom they need you to hear right now to keep moving with hope?

We won! But it’s not over.

We must hold our elected officials accountable, we must support them and continue to speak, participate get remain involved in our elections, our government and politics.

No more attacks on WOMEN, IMMIGRANTS, black or brown people, Latinos, no more attacks on healthcare, education or mental health. We fought back and we won but we must keep fighting.

We the people have spoken and it was even close republicans and maga are not representing us, we do not want facism and we do not support the actions of the executive branch.

Thank you to everyone who voted let’s keep the momentum going.

Hello, I am a Mental Health Therapist. As a therapist, I use various materials and skills with my clients. I created this journal as a tool to encourage self-help and independence in your improvement. This journal is for adults and adolescents to use to change and improve their self-esteem.

This journal will teach you how to:
✨ confront negative thoughts about yourself using cognitive behavioral therapy
✨ promote well-being and positive self-esteem using mindfulness tools
✨ identify positive affirmations
✨ create daily goals
✨ identify and monitor your mood
✨ rate and evaluate your progress

With this journal, you learn to set intentions to your life, self-esteem, and mood regularly. You can use it daily or whenever you need to, but remember that making changes to your mental health and self-esteem is a commitment to yourself, and using this journal as written would be most effective.

Also, remember that this is a supplementary journal and will work best in combination with mental health therapy.
