🐝The current unreconciled, unsanctioned work strike by NYSDOCCS staff that has went on for over 3 weeks since the week that a Grand Jury criminally indicted at least 9 NYSDOCCS staff has not only thrown facilities across the State in critical states in terms of unavailability of incarcerated individual services but will also be subject of investigations into whether the illegal work stop led to the deaths of a number of incarcerated individuals who have met their demise during the facility shutdowns caused by the strike. Now, as this agency continues to add severe incidents to the NYSDOCCS negligence continuum no official is considerate to the current Health Services crisis that not only has unavailed heavy logistics medical practices for incarcerated individuals but has deprived them of even the daily Sick Call services for several weeks. But that's not all.
🐝This unreconciled, unsanctioned work strike has caused an inflamed environment inside of facilities as could be reasonably anticipated that it would. While Corrections staff have begun escalating their protest activities at picket lines right outside of facilities, literally inflaming objects for performative purposes to agress for their putative false flag cause which many see as a retaliatory reaction to prosecution for crimes that are typical incidences for a Corrections culture that is reliant upon a terroristic approach to custody, we can expect that some among the currently dungeoned incarcerated individuals being deprived of many essential services will begin to themselves respond with riot-like activities that are practically feasible notwithstanding their limited resources but yet potentially extremely disruptive, such as littering tiers and facility areas with incendiary devices that can add to the smoke. There is typically not sufficient ventilation in carceral areas to deal with the air quality contamination that will occur by the convergence of interior and exterior arson exhausts. We would very much regret reporting to Your Honor that a severe smoke inhalation incident next exacerbates this urgent health crisis as relates to many incarcerated individuals.
🐝Thank you kindly for your attention to these matters and the communities that we advocate for, including although not limited to the State's incarcerated individuals population and civilian communities across our State all appreciate the due and proper interventions that your resources might serve.
