Montefiore’s Healthy Steps Program has received $100,000 from the Frog Rock Foundation to continue their work in Westchester’s Montefiore Medical Group ( ) sites in Yonkers, Mount Vernon and Eastchester areas.

The program was launched by Rahil Briggs, Director, PsyD, to ensure that parents and their children, from birth through 5 years, get started on the right track. Congratulations to Dr. Briggs and the rest of the Healthy Steps team!

We've been working on this, and waiting, and working, and waiting. It was supposed to come out on Mother's Day, but it finally came out today! CMS advises states that they can pay for maternal depression screening and dyadic, parent child treatment, from the child's Medicaid, breaking down barriers left and right to ensure prevention and family based treatment. https://www.medicaid.gov/entry/2016/05/11/38094.html
