THE GOODNESS OF EGGS!

Eggs are great for the eyes. Eggs may prevent macular degeneraton due to the carotenoid content. Researchers found that people who eat eggs every day lower their risk of developing cataracts because of the lutein and zeaxanthin in eggs.

According to a study from Harvard, regular consumption of eggs may help prevent blood clots, stroke, and heart attacks. There is no significant link between egg consumption and heart disease.

Eggs are a good source of choline. Choline is an important nutrient that helps regulate the brain, nervous system, and cardiovascular system.

New research shows that moderate consumption of eggs does not have a negative impact on cholesterol. In recent studies, regular consumption of two eggs per day does not affect a person's lipid profile. It may improve it. Research suggests that it is saturated fat that raises cholesterol rather than dietary cholesterol.

One egg contains just 5 grams of fat and only 1.5 grams of that is saturated fat.

Eggs are one of the only foods that contain naturally occurring vitamin D.

Eggs promote healthy hair and nails because of their high sulphur content and wide array of vitamins and minerals.

Eggs may prevent breast cancer. In one study, women who consumed at least 6 eggs per week lowered their risk of breast cancer by 44%.

CALCIUM AND MAGNESIUM TO LOSE WEIGHT

Studies show that a diet high in calcium and low in fat will help your body burn fat. Higher-calcium diets favor burning rather than storing fat.

Magnesium helps the body digest, absorb, and utilize proteins, fats, and carbohydrates. Most people don't get enough magnesium in their diet. So supplementing is a good way to ensure we get the amount needed. Men should have about 400mg daily and women should have 320 mg daily.

When consuming a decreased calorie diet along with calcium and magnesium, fat storage will decrease and fat burning should increase at a healthy rate.

TOP APHRODISIACS

An aphrodisiac is a substance that increases s*xual desire. The name pertains to Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love. Throughout history, many foods, drinks, and behaviors have had a reputation for making s*x more attainable and/or pleasurable.

The food you consume can have a direct impact on your s*x life, affecting your hormones, brain chemistry and energy and stress levels.

ASPARAGUS-An English herbalist from the 17th century, Nicholas Culpepper, wrote that asparagus "stirs up lust in man and woman." Apparently for a good reason: asparagus is a great source of potassium, fiber, vitamin B6, vitamins A and C, and thiamin and folic acid.

ALMONDS-Through antiquity, almonds were regarded as fertility symbols. The aroma of almond supposedly arouses passion in females. Almonds provide high doses of vitamin E, magnesium and even fiber. Therefore, there seems to be something in the almond myths after all.

AVOCADO-Just by looking at the shape of avocado, you will see why it was associated with s*xuality. The Aztecs called the avocado ahuacuatl, or "testicle tree."Avocado is rich with folic acid, vitamin B6 and potassium. They are also said to boost immune system.

BANANAS-By it shape its connection with s*xuality. Bananas are loaded with potassium, magnesium and B vitamins. It also contains chelating minerals and the bromeliad enzyme, said to enhance the male libido.

BASIL-Basil makes the meals smell and taste better and has a lot of beneficial effects on human body. Basil's fantastic aroma is said to have an aphrodisiac effect and is also very stimulating.

CHOCOLATE-Pure chocolate, the king of natural aphrodisiacs, contains a host of compounds including anandamide, the psyochoactive feel-good chemical, and PEA (phenylethylamine), the "love chemical," which releases dopamine in the pleasure centers of the brain and peaks during or**sm. PEA is said to help induce feelings of excitement, attraction and euphoria. Cacao also contains tryptophan, a key component of the neurotransmitter serotonin known to promote a sense of well-being and relaxation.

FIGS-This s*xy fruit has long been thought of as an arousing stimulant, and an open fig is believed to emulate the female s*x organs. Greeks held them as sacred and associated them with love and fertility.

GARLIC- Garlic is chockfull of allicin, an ingredient that will increase blood flow. So, whip up an extra-garlicky dish.

OYSTERS-Oysters may be thought of as an aphrodisiac because of their high zinc content, which helps produce s***m and increases libido.

HONEY-A great source of boron, a trace mineral that helps the body use and metabolize estrogen. Studies have shown that this mineral may also enhance testosterone levels in the blood, the hormone responsible for promoting s*x drive and or**sm in both men and women. In addition, honey contains B vitamins needed for testosterone, as well as other nutrients, enzymes and phytochemicals.

S*X DRIVE KILLERS!

ALCOHOL-A drink or two doesn't always put you in the mood. Alcohol makes you feel less inhibited about s*x. But it can also numb your s*x drive.

STRESS- Maybe you can do many things well when under stress. But feeling s*xy isn't likely to be one of them. Job stress, money troubles, caring for a sick family member, and other stressors can decrease libido. To keep your stress levels in check, learn helpful stress management techniques.

TOO LITTLE SLEEP- If your s*xual get-up-and-go is gone, maybe you're getting up too early or getting to bed too late. Or maybe you have insomnia or sleep apnea. Whatever it is that's interfering with your sleep, it's also interfering with your s*x drive. Too little sleep creates fatigue. Fatigue saps s*x drive.

POOR BODY IMAGE- It's hard to feel s*xy if your self-esteem suffers from poor body image. Feeling ashamed of being too heavy (even if you're not) will douse your love light. If your partner has these feelings, it can really help to reassure him or her that you still find him/her s*xy. And there's a flip side to the equation: Working out not only enhances your self-esteem, but also ups your s*x drive.

FOODS THAT RELIEVE STRESS

ORANGES: A study found that vitamin C helps reduce stress and return blood pressure and cortisol to normal levels after a stressful situation.

SWEET POTATOES: can be particularly stress-reducing because they can satisfy the urge you get for carbohydrates and sweets when you are under a great deal of stress. They are packed full of beta-carotene and other vitamins, and the fiber helps your body to process the carbohydrates in a slow and steady manner.

DRIED APRICOTS: Apricots are rich in magnesium, which is a stress-buster and a natural muscle relaxant as well.

TURKEY: contains an amino acid called L-tryptophan. This amino acid triggers the release of serotonin, which is a feel-good brain chemical. This is the reason why many people who eat turkey feel relaxed, or even tired, after eating it. L-Tryptophan has a documented calming effect.

BANANAS FIGHT CANCER!

According to Japanese Scientific Research, full ripe banana with dark patches on yellow skin produces a substance called TNF (Tumor Necrosis Factor) which has the ability to combat abnormal cells.

The darker patches, the higher its immunity enhancement quality and better the anti-cancer quality.

Yellow skin banana with dark spots are 8x more effective in enhancing the property of white blood cells, increasing immunity.

Eating 1-2 banana/s a day increases immunity. Bananas are high fiber foods rich in potassium, vitamin B6, fiber, and vitamin C.

As a banana ripens and turns yellow, its levels of antioxidants increases. These antioxidants in ripe bananas protect your body against cancer and heart diseases.

NOW GOOD CHOLESTEROL (HDL) IS BAD?

Numerous studies trying to show that HDL has heart-protective properties have failed to show any significant improvement in cardiovascular health.

According to a groundbreaking new study published in Nature Medicine, a process has been identified that causes HDL to become dysfunctional and turns it into a cardiovascular villain. The HDL gets lose into circulation and can start to build up in the circulatory system. It sparks inflammation, atherosclerosis and the clogging and hardening of arteries that can lead to heart attacks.

A major protein found in HDL called apolipoprotein A1 (apoA1) is found in an oxidized form in diseased arteries. An enzyme in white blood cells, known as myeloperoxidase, or MPO, is the main culprit in turning HDL bad causing the HDL to become both dysfunctional and inflammatory.

A blood test to detect dysfunctional HDL could be commercially available later this year. Not only could a dysfunctional HDL test help medical providers evaluate patients’ heart disease risk, lower levels of dysfunctional HDL and lower other risks.

In a 2013 study of more than 95,000 patients found that having elevated levels of MPO is the most predictive marker of heart attack risk in the near future.

QUINOA...WHAT IT'S GOOD FOR?

Quinoa is a high-protein seed that is often eaten like a grain or cereal. It is a complete protein containing all nine essential amino acids.

People on gluten free diets can tolerate this grain without stomach pain or upset.

Quinoa contains almost twice as much fiber as most other grains. Fiber helps relieve constipation. It also helps to prevent heart disease by reducing high blood pressure and diabetes. Fiber lowers cholesterol and glucose levels, may lower your risk of developing hemorrhoids and may help you to lose weight.

Quinoa contains Iron. Iron helps keep our red blood cells healthy. Iron carries oxygen from one cell to another and supplies oxygen to our muscles aiding in their contraction. Iron also increases brain function.

Quinoa is rich in magnesium.

Quinoa is high in Riboflavin (B2). B2 improves energy metabolism within brain and muscle cells and is known to help create proper energy production in cells.

Quinoa has a high content of manganese. Manganese is an antioxidant, which helps to prevent damage of mitochondria during energy production as well as to protect red blood cells and other cells from injury by free radicals.
