Happy New Day 💜🌎💜

A couple of weeks ago, I met a beautiful soul at a community meeting where I was representing my current agency. They invited me to speak at an event for domestic violence survivors, held in a sacred space. I felt spiritually called to this task but wasn’t sure why. Nevertheless, I said yes without hesitation, committing without fully considering what it meant.

As the date approached, I faced several challenges that tested me in ways I didn’t anticipate. Just last night, after a much-needed massage, I found myself in the ER for head and chest pains. Thankfully, I’m well now. Looking back, I realize this was all part of a larger process; growth pains, preparing me for an elevation I didn’t even know was taking place…

Fast forward to today … I nearly chose to rest, as professional advice suggested. But deep down, I knew that not showing up wasn’t an option. One of my core beliefs is that “Most times, all we have to do is just show up.” And so, despite the odds, I did.

I am filled with gratitude for having completed an amazing speaking engagement today. I had the honor of sharing a special gift with 50-60 survivors in one of the most sacred settings I’ve ever experienced. The theme was “resilience,” and I touched on healing through diverse griefs, aligning with my mission of wellness. Each story shared reminded me of the profound importance of community, cooperation, and collaboration, reigniting the fire for my life’s work and reinforcing my Why, The Call, and the life assignments we are all given.

This journey has reminded me something powerful: when you are called to fulfill your purpose, do not ask for permission or validation. Trust your instincts, show up, and be ready to share your gifts. Today was not only inspiring and informative, but it was impactful like heavenly therapeutic evangelism for everyone, including me. It reinforced my personal motto, “Love Lyfe Well,” and reminded me of the power of resilience, how it fuels us to keep moving forward, no matter the challenges.
