Today we remember the over 58,300 Americans who gave their lives while serving in the Vietnam War.

Among them, we remember the 1,744 New Yorkers who gave their last full measure and who’s names are engraved on the Walk of Honor at the NYC Vietnam Veterans Memorial Plaza.

We hope that you have a meaningful Memorial Day.

Moments from the annual ANZAC Day dawn ceremony.

Over the years, on April 25th, Aussie and Kiwi ex-pats have adopted the NYC Vietnam Veterans Memorial Plaza as a place to host their commemorative event which honors their fallen soldiers from the Battle of Gallipoli during WWI. The commemoration has evolved, and now honors Aussie and Kiwi soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice throughout the generations.

This dawn ceremony coincides with ANZAC ceremonies being held around the world.

Many of our Vietnam Veterans can recall Aussie soldiers fighting at their sides while they were in country.

It is an honor to have them use the Plaza for their ceremony.

Over 2 million Americans served during the Vietnam War from 1955-1975, and today we recognize all those who served and the families impacted. It is also a day to recognize the wartime contributions at home; the advancements in technology, science, and medicine; and the contributions by American allies.
