Last Friday, the Lunch Bunch took a little food adventure to East York and checked out The First Post—and it did not disappoint! 🙌🍽️

We even got to celebrate a birthday while we were there, which made the outing extra fun 🎉🥳

The Tree Family Party Piggies stopped by our memory care area today, and wow! Perry and Birch showed off some serious skills! From playing the piano🎹 to creating one-of-a-kind snout artwork 🎨, these piggies amazed everyone.

Residents and associates loved the cuddles, laughs, and carrot “piggy kisses” 🥕💋. What a fun and joyful day for all!

We welcomed 2026 with a beautiful Lifelong Learning Musical Experience featuring Lauren Knatz and cellist Stella Heysek, a champagne toast, light hors d’Oeuvres, and a sparkling disco ball countdown! 🥂💫

At Normandie Ridge, we are more than a community; we are home. A place where friendships are formed, stories are shared, and moments like these remind us how special it is to celebrate side by side. As we look ahead to 2026, we carry gratitude for the memories that have shaped us and excitement for all the new ones we will create together. Thank you to all our friends and family for sharing these special moments with us. Here’s to a year full of laughter, connection, and new memories together! ❤️🏡

Yesterday morning, we were thrilled to welcome the William Penn Singers and Light Up Ensemble as part of their Annual Holiday Sharing Tour! 🎶

William Penn Senior High School holds special memories for many of our residents. Their festive holiday carols filled the room with warmth, joy, and hometown pride. Thank you to these talented students for a truly heartwarming performance! ❤️🎄

What a joyful evening at our Handbell & Choir Christmas Concert! We were blessed with beautiful, festive music performed by the Handbell Choir and Vocal Choir from Dover United Church Of Christ, joyfully directed by Sue Storm, along with our very own Associate Executive Director, Sherry Shank. Thank you to everyone who helped make this evening so special!

Sharing Christmas with Our Neighbors 🎄❤️

Each year, our Independent living residents shop and wrap gifts for friends and neighbors within our community. This year was extra special thanks to an anonymous donor who provided all the shopping funds.

Yesterday, our residents lovingly wrapped each gift, preparing them for delivery by Santa and Mrs. Claus at our Christmas celebrations this week.

A special thank you to our volunteer organizers, Donna Ferguson and Dorothy Daniels, to the associates and administrators who helped curate wish lists and supplies, and of course to our wonderful shoppers and wrappers who made it all possible. ✨

Our bus trip to Shady Maple Smorgasbord and the American Music Theater to see the 2025 Christmas Show was a total success! Delicious food, milkshakes, plus Christmas songs on the bus made the day extra merry. 🎶

🎺 Thank you to The Emigsville Band! 🎶

They visited on Monday evening, filling the room with music, laughter, and plenty of happy toes tapping. Our residents loved every minute! ❤️

✨ Fun facts:

Founded in 1872 as the Acme Cornet Band — over 150 years of music!

Built their own Band Hall in 1918, opening on Thanksgiving Day.

Travel back then? Hay wagons, stagecoaches, trolleys—not cars!

Today, a multi-generational volunteer band with members from teens to 80+.

A true community cornerstone, performing at picnics, parades, and fairs for generations.

What a wonderful Saturday! Cormorant’s Fancy brought A Celtic Christmas to Normandie Ridge with gorgeous music, festive energy, and plenty of holiday cheer. 💚✨

The room lit up even more when Irish step dancers Allyson and Evelyn from the Ni Riain School of Irish Dance took the floor—their talent and sparkle were the perfect finishing touch to a magical afternoon.

Thanks to everyone who joined us for the TAFE performance last week! We had a full house, tons of holiday cheer, and yes… our associates may or may not have elbowed their way to the front of the line for a photo op with Santa. (He didn’t seem to mind.) 🎅✨

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our first Christmas concert of the season on Monday evening - it was a joyful way to kick things off!

An extra-big shout-out to the Red Lion Felton Band for filling the evening with joyful music and heartfelt holiday spirit. Their dedication and talent truly made the night shine.

And of course, we can’t do any of this without our wonderful residents who fill the room with warmth, support, and excitement. You’re the reason these events feel so special.
