Your Life Coach: Rae Leslie

Like a mechanic for the soul, Rae’s life coaching approach is a deep dive into every aspect of the personality. With an immersive experience, individuals are guided past old childhood programs and limited beliefs that no longer serve them, thus shifting their perspectives onto their true calling. Leslie works with clients to reparent their inner child by assisting them in shifting the memory of their pasts by consciously co-creating their future. In this way, individuals learn how to be an authentic adult without losing the best, most authentic part of themselves- The Child. Fascinated about what makes people truly happy and curious to explore the root of joy, Rae has spent the last thirty years using her imagination to creatively transform a life of adversity and her own limited beliefs into a life filled with purpose and genuine happiness. To share what she has learned with others who are seeking their own authentic joy is now her greatest life purpose. When Conor was a little girl—before she could write—she would say, “I love you so much I can’t explain it.”

She was probably three when she began making this forever proclamation.

Once she learned to write, every little note she gave me ended the same way:
“I love you so much I can’t explain it.”

In our family, we say “I love you a lot” or “I love you so much!”
It never feels overused or insincere.
We say it because we know how precious both love and time are.

As Conor grew into a teenager, she often told me:
“I would give up all my dreams if it meant you could have yours.”
And… “I’d rather know you’re happy and married than choose my happily ever after over yours.”

That always broke my heart—because any loving mother wants nothing more than to see her daughter’s dreams come true.

Her joy is my joy. It’s a quiet fulfillment.

Psychology may say it’s not our children’s job to make us happy—and it’s not our job to make them happy either.

But life isn’t lived by the books we’re told to learn from—or live by.

Life is lived through glances, gestures, and voices—memories, touch and through love—felt. (And we Leslie’s proudly feel and love a lot!)

Conor and I share a rare mother-daughter bond.
She is the best daughter, sister, friend, and partner anyone could hope for and then have!

And as for happily ever afters?

Her wedding announcement to the one and only Brett Dier…
is the ultimate joy for me.
My dream come true.

And just for the record, Conor—
I love you so much I (!) can’t explain it.

Fairy tales do not tell children that dragons exist. Children already know dragons exist. Fairy tales tell children that dragons can be killed.

Dylan — 30!!!
Today, I thank all the gods, goddesses, angels, and everyone in heaven for protecting and guiding you all these years. I also thank you for trusting your inner compass, perhaps your most important teacher.

I still remember the day you came home as a teenager and said you wanted to work on Wall Street. What a moment. I was quietly relieved when you found your dream instead in that old Minolta I casually tossed on your bed.

While I know you could’ve succeeded at anything—your stories about selling Christmas trees showed what a businessman you are—I’m so glad your heart led you to express your vision through the written word and the lens of a camera.

Although you can’t see me right now, my eyes are filled with motherly tears as I think about these three decades—what they’ve meant to us as mother and son, and as part of “The Core Four.”

I’ll save the most personal feelings for when we’re together. You and I understand those private joys, challenges, and truths that are uniquely ours. Today, we celebrate all the good that’s come from thirty years of blowing out candles and making wishes—and yay (!), the right ones came true.

I love you.

I love, love, love metaphors even if I don’t understand the metaphors of others! I sometimes love those even more1

Today before my work day began I thought about how many different meanings things have and then my mind and imagination started to string them along and I came up with this:

ngKnow what you are carrying
thoughts are that heavy?
Memories that drain?
Relationships that aren’t working?
Today (!) I am carrying a hot loaf of homemade bread.
It will be just the right amount of heavy
(and then I’m gonna eat it too.)

Hi, I’m Rae Leslie—life coach, writer, and mom of three. I raised my children on my own while building a business, and one truth became clear: we can’t do it all, and we’re not meant to.

In a culture that glorifies doing, I chose to slow down. That’s when I began to see: we always have choices. Options. And often, it's in the slowing that we discover better ways to parent—and care for ourselves.

I began mothering myself—finding strength in rest, clarity in stillness, and wisdom in the inner mother archetype. She reminds us we’re not alone. We’re not broken. We’re just in need of gentler ways to live and love.

Now I help women reconnect with that inner guidance, so they can raise their children—and themselves—with more grace, choice, and ease.

🩷heartfelt thank you to these two special humans for making a mom feel so at home and loved.

Always bittersweet departures but savoring new memories and envisioning the beautiful ones to come! I especially loved the new card games we played which proved to me that I would have never survived the Roy family but don’t consider that a bad thing. ;)

And Brett: you have forever altered my perception of cement and aliens and that is beautiful.

Much love.
