As the winds and water rage through the Caribbean we are reminded to have honor, reverence and healthy fear for Oya.

While the Hurricane comes with torrential rain, it's not only the rain and flood we fear it's the wind. It's the destruction, it's the change.

We call on Oya to help us by not only shifting the winds, to have discernment about how to manage the storm, to have capacity, resources and ingenuity torecover.

We ask for protection so that there's a shield where there should've been vulnerability.

We ask for ease.

Hekua Yansa! May you protect Jamaica and all those impacted by Melissa. May you provide discernment to all inhabitants for ways to seek and achieve safety and support during this time.

Wherever you go there you are!

It is so much easier to focus on what everyone else has done.

And yes, they have done it to you.

But you are the common denominator.

So either you are attracting it, attracted to it, curating it, or accepting it.

There is something in YOUR pattern that is allowing this situation.

In order to break the pattern of what is happening, you must understand what ego story you are holding on to, the version of you that is holding on to it and what needs you REALLY have. Lastly, you need to learn how to meet those needs so that the pattern does not need to continue.
