NANA’S FORGOTTEN CHRISTMAS MERINGUES 🎄✨

my nana usually made these with chocolate chips, but at christmas she used crushed candy canes. they are one of my favorites and bring back so many memories of being at her house

YOU NEED
(use organic ingredients when possible)

* 3 egg whites
* 1/2 tsp cream of tartar
* 1 c granulated sugar
* 3 dye free candy canes, crushed

WHAT TO DO

- preheat oven to 400 and line a baking sheet with parchment paper
- add egg whites + cream of tartar into a large bowl and beat til frothy
- slowly add the sugar + beat until stiff peaks form (you want to use a hand or stand mixer for this part)
- fold in the crushed candy canes
- drop the batter in dollops onto baking sheet
- place in the oven, then immediately turn the oven off
- let “bake” approx 3 hours

HOMEMADE CRANBERRY JUICE ✨

this homemade cranberry juice is perfect for all the fun holiday drinks and mocktails, or enjoy it on its own!

YOU NEED
(use organic ingredients when possible)

* 8 c fresh cranberries, cleaned + rinsed well
* 8 c filtered water, divided
* 1/4 cup maple syrup (or honey)

WHAT TO DO

- add cranberries + 6 c water to a large pot and bring to a boil over high heat
- reduce to a simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally (the cranberries with be soft and many will pop)
- strain + press out the extra liquid with a spoon
- add maple syrup + stir til dissolved
- add remaining 2 c of water (can omit if you prefer it a little more bitter)

let cool, then store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days

NON TOXIC SWAP 🚿✨

adding a shower filter is one of the easiest non toxic swaps you can make

2 INGREDIENT NON TOXIC GREASE STAIN REMOVER ✨

if your kiddos + husband are as messy as mine, you are definitely going to want to keep this handy

watch me get the salad dressing out of my husband’s shorts 👀

YOU NEED

- baking soda
- dish soap

WHAT TO DO

- add a 1:1 ratio of baking soda to dish soap into a small bowl, i typically do 1 tbsp of each
- combine, apply to stain + let it sit for a few hours (or overnight for old, set stains)
- launder as usual

will leave your clothes good as new

note: most grease stains come out after one round, but sometimes you need to do a second. make sure stain is gone before drying, heat can set the stain

HOMEMADE COCOA MIX ✨

skip the corn syrup, fake flavor + other additives in swiss mix and make your own instead with 3 simple ingredients

YOU NEED
(use organic ingredients when possible)

* 1 c granulated sugar
* 1/2 c unsweetened cocoa powder
* 1/8 tsp sea salt

WHAT TO DO

- add ingredients to a blender and blend til combined

store in an airtight container in a cool, dark place

HOW TO USE

- add 2 tbsp per 1 c of milk (or more, to taste) to a saucepan over medium heat
- mix and heat until hot, but not boiling, stirring occasionally

pour into your favorite mug (homemade marshmallows optional)

CHRISTMAS COKE 🎄✨

i’ve seen different variations of this + had to make one with and my 5 ingredient sugar cookie creamer

spoiler alert: it did not disappoint

YOU NEED

* 1 can cola of choice (i went with olipop vintage cola because, gut health)
* sugar cookie creamer
* optional: dye free candy cane

WHAT TO DO

- pour cola over ice + top with sugar cookie creamer

*SUGAR COOKIE CREAMER*

YOU NEED

* 1 c half + half (or creamer of choice)
* 1/4 c maple syrup
* 1 tsp vanilla
* dash of salt
* 1/4 tsp almond extract

WHAT TO DO

YOU NEED

* dash of salt
* 1/4 tsp almond extract

WHAT TO DO

- combine all ingredients + mix well

pour over your favorite hot or iced coffee + you’ve got the holidays in a mug

COOKIE DOUGH BARK 🍪✨

YOU NEED
(use organic ingredients when possible)

* 1 1/2 c almond flour
* 1/4 c maple syrup
* splash of vanilla
* 1/8 tsp sea salt
* 1 1/4 c chocolate chips, divided
* 2 tbsp coconut oil

TO DO

- mix almond flour, maple syrup, vanilla + sea salt
- fold in 1/2 c chocolate chips
- line baking sheet with parchment paper, pour the dough onto the sheet + press til firm to make the bark
- melt 3/4 c chocolate chips + coconut oil, pour over the bark + spread til even
- sprinkle with a little extra sea salt
- throw in the freezer until set, about 1-2 hours
- remove, break into pieces + enjoy

store in an airtight container or freezer bag in the freezer

HOMEMADE HAWAIIAN ROLLS 🍍✨

skip the monocalcium phosphate, sorbitan monostearate + 25 other ingredients in king’s hawaiian rolls and make your own with 7 simple ingredients

YOU NEED
(use organic ingredients when possible)

* 1 1/2 c pineapple juice
* 4 1/2 tsp active dry yeast
* 1/3 c honey, divided
* 1/2 cup butter, room temperature
* 2 eggs
* 5 c bread flour (with extra in case needed)
* 1 tsp sea salt

TO DO

- warm pineapple juice over medium heat until warm to the touch (approx 105 degrees)
- in a small bowl, mix juice, yeast, and 1 tbsp honey; let sit 7 minutes
- in a large bowl, mash butter with remaining honey; stir in eggs, then yeast mixture
- add flour and salt, stirring until dough forms; knead on a floured surface for 8 minutes, adding flour if sticky
- place dough in a greased bowl, turning to coat; cover with a damp cloth and let rise in a warm spot until doubled (1–2 hours)
- punch dough and divide into 16–20 pieces; roll into balls and arrange in a greased 9x13-inch dish or lined baking sheet, leaving space between
- cover and let rise 30 minutes
- preheat oven to 350 degrees and bake for 22 minutes, until tops are golden; cool slightly before serving

store in an airtight container up to 3 days

POPPIN’ CANDIED CRANBERRIES ✨

when the viral candied cranberries from showed up in my feed (and kept showing up in my feed), i knew i had to try them myself

these are sweet with the perfect amount of tart + an awesome crunch

now it’s your turn to try them!

YOU NEED
(use organic ingredients when possible)

* 1 bag fresh cranberries
* 1 can cranberry fizz poppi
* apple juice (or cider)
* powdered sugar

WHAT TO DO

- wash and dry cranberries + remove any soft or mushy ones
- add cranberries to a large bowl + pour in 1 can of cranberry fizz poppi
- top off with apple juice
- cover and refrigerate overnight
- strain + place cranberries in a clean bowl
- add a ridiculous amount of powdered sugar
- cover + shake until each cranberry is thoroughly coated
- preheat oven to 200 and line baking sheet with parchment paper
- bake 5 minutes
- let sit out for a few hours to fully dry

store in an airtight container in the fridge up to 5 days
