ONE PAN CHICKEN POT PIE ORZO 🥣✨

YOU NEED
(use organic ingredients when possible)

* 2 tbsp butter
* 1 onion, diced
* 4 carrots, peeled + sliced
* 5 stalks celery, diced
* 1/4 c flour
* 4 c chicken bone broth
* 2 c orzo, uncooked
* 3 c cooked chicken, diced
* 1 c frozen peas
* 1/2 c heavy cream
* 1 tsp sea salt
* optional: pepper

WHAT TO DO

- in a large pan over medium heat, melt the butter and saute the onion, carrots + celery for about 5-8 minutes, until softened
- stir in the flour and saute 1–2 more minutes
- add broth, stirring to combine + bring to a boil over med/high heat, then stir in the orzo
- reduce heat to a simmer until the orzo is cooked, about 12-14 min, stirring occasionally
- add in the cooked chicken and frozen peas + simmer until heated through
- add in the heavy cream + salt and stir to combine
- add pepper, to taste

PEPPERMINT MOCHA CREAMER ✨

skip the peppermint mocha from starbucks and make your own with whole food ingredients, no natural flavors + a lot less sugar

YOU NEED
(use organic ingredients when possible)

* 1 c half + half (or creamer of choice)
* 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
* 1/4 c maple syrup
* 1 tsp vanilla
* dash of salt
* 1/8 tsp peppermint extract

WHAT TO DO

- combine half + half and unsweetened cocoa powder and give it a little mix
- then add the rest of the ingredients and shake well

pour over your favorite hot or iced coffee + you’ve got the holidays in a mug (or glass)

SOURDOUGH DISCARD SANDWICH BREAD 🍞✨

i wanted some sourdough sandwich bread, but didn’t feel like waiting a day so used discard instead. it was ready in a few hours + it did not disappoint

YOU NEED
(use organic ingredients when possible)

* 1 1/4 c warm filtered water
* 1 tbsp active yeast
* 1 tbsp honey
* 1 tsp sea salt
* 3 1/2 c bread flour
* 3/4 c sourdough discard
* 3 tbsp butter, softened

WHAT TO DO

- combine water, yeast + honey, stir and let sit 5 minutes
- add in salt, flour, discard + butter and mix and knead for 5 minutes, then cover with a damp towel and let proof for 1 hour
- roll up the dough and place in a parchment lined or greased loaf pan seam side down
- cover and let sit for 30 minutes
- while that’s sitting, preheat oven to 350, then bake for 33 minutes
- remove from oven
- remove loaf from the pan and let cool for 1 hour before cutting

HOMEMADE MARSHMALLOWS ✨

you haven’t had a marshmallow until you’ve had a homemade marshmallow

these are super easy to make + the grass fed gelatin is great for gut health, healthy skin, healthy joints and a healthy brain. it also helps reduce inflammation and boost metabolism!

so eat these homemade marshmallows to your heart’s content (and don’t forget to pair with some bone broth hot chocolate)

YOU NEED
(use organic ingredients when possible)

*1 c filtered water, divided
* 1/4 c gelatin
* 3/4 c maple syrup
* 2 tsp vanilla
* 1/8 tsp sea salt
optional: equal parts arrowroot powder + powdered sugar for dusting

WHAT TO DO

- add 1/2 c filtered water to a mixing bowl + slowly sprinkle gelatin on top, let bloom for about 10 minutes
- while that’s blooming, combine 1/2 c filtered water, maple syrup, vanilla + salt into a pot and bring to a boil over medium heat, let boil about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally
- remove pot from heat
- start mixing the gelatin with your hand mixer on low + slowly pour in contents from the pot
- increase speed to medium/high for about 6 minutes - you’ll still want it to be pourable, but NOT fluffy (there is a very fine line here, be sure not to overmix)
- pour marshmallow mixture into a parchment lined 9” square baking dish
- let them set at room temperature for about 4 hours, then cut
- optional: dust with equal parts arrowroot powder and powdered sugar to prevent sticking

store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week

HOMEMADE IMMUNITY SHOTS ✨

IF YOU HAVE A JUICER...

YOU NEED
(use organic ingredients when possible)

* 3 lemons
* 1 orange
* 1 grapefruit
* about 8 k***s of ginger
* cayenne

WHAT TO DO

- clean, peel + slice lemons, orange, grapefruit + ginger
- add to juicer
- once done juicing, add about 4 dashes of cayenne

pour into a mason jar or into approx 9 2 oz glass jars with lids + store in the fridge up to 5 days

IF YOU DON’T HAVE A JUICER...

YOU NEED
(use organic ingredients when possible)

* 3 lemons
* 1 orange
* 1 grapefruit

* ~1/2 c filtered water or coconut water
* cayenne

WHAT TO DO

THE SOLUTION I USE ✨

i got our first airdoctor a few years ago + now have one in every room. it’s made such a difference, especially with allergies

most people don’t realize the air inside their home can be more polluted than outside

in addition to pollutants like dust, mold + viruses (to name a few), we can expose our families to things like vocs from paint, carpets + new furniture or phthalates from personal care products like perfume, hairspray + anything with synthetic fragrances

this indoor air pollution can cause inflammation and negatively affect overall health. this is especially important for our little ones. clean air can help reduce allergy symptoms, support lung development and improve sleep + focus

the airdoctor uses an ultrahepa filter to capture all the things we can’t see: dust, bacteria, mold, viruses, microplastics, pet dander + pollen. then there’s a dual action/carbon voc filter that removes odors, gases + chemicals like formaldehyde

HOMEMADE APPLE CIDER VINEGAR 🍎

note: this is a long process, a few months to be exact!

BUT it’s super easy, just requires some patience

that’s why you need to start saving those scraps asap! or you can just cut up apples + get started now

YOU NEED

* organic apples/scraps
* filtered water
* sugar

WHAT TO DO

- start with organic apples that have been thoroughly cleaned. my kids love apples so i just saved the peels + cores over the course of a week and used those. i kept the scraps in the freezer and defrosted them completely once i had enough. you’ll need to fill a glass jar halfway with apples
- once you add the apples/scraps to the jar, you’ll cover with warm filtered water. make sure to keep track of how much water you’re adding so you can add the right amount of sugar. once the apples are covered with water, add 1 tbsp sugar per cup of water + mix well (make sure you have a little room at the top for expansion)
- at this point you can add a generous splash of acv with the mother if you want to kickstart the process, but this is optional
- cover with a thin cloth/coffee filter + rubber band/canning ring
- store in a dark place for about 2 weeks, making sure to stir it daily to prevent mold. the apples will begin to brown, it’ll get a little cloudy + you’ll start to see bubbles
- after two weeks, you’ll strain the apples and store the liquid in a clean glass container with the same type of cover as before
- store it in a cool dark place for a month to ferment some more, then check it…you may or may not choose to let it ferment for another month or two before bottling
- once it’s ready, transfer to a glass bottle with lid - an old bottle of acv works perfectly for this!

HOMEMADE GRANOLA BARS ✨

skip the seed oils, w**d killer + fake flavors and make your own granola bars with 6 whole food ingredients you likely already have on hand!

YOU NEED
(use organic ingredients when possible)

* 2 1/4 c rolled oats (i use )
* 2 tbsp flax
* 2/3 c peanut butter
* 1/2 c maple syrup
* 1/2 c chocolate chips
* 1/8 tsp salt

WHAT TO DO

- combine oats + flax and mix
- next add the peanut butter and maple syrup and stir til combined
- then add salt + chocolate chips and stir some more
- line a 9” baking dish with parchment paper
- add the mix to the dish and press firmly with a coffee mug to distribute the granola mix evenly
- let set in the fridge for at least 2 hours (i like to leave overnight), then remove + cut into 10 bars

store in an airtight container in the fridge up to 5 days

LITTLE BITES FUDGE BROWNIES 🍫✨

little bites are super popular + i wish parents would read the ingredients in these. the first ingredient is sugar + they contain 23g per serving! they also contain regular corn syrup, seed oils, fake flavors + other additives

so skip the store bought version + make your own with 10 simple ingredients. your kids will love them 😍

YOU NEED
(use organic ingredients when possible)

* 1 c + 2 tbsp all purpose flour
* 1/2 c unsweetened cocoa powder
* 2 tsp baking powder
* 1/4 tsp sea salt
* 2 eggs
* 2 tsp vanilla extract
* 3 tbsp whole milk
* 1/4 c plain full fat greek yogurt
* 2/3 c maple syrup
* 4 tbsp butter, melted

WHAT TO DO

- preheat oven to 350
- add dry ingredients into large mixing bowl + mix
- then add in wet ingredients
- stir til combined and batter is smooth
- grease muffin pan if needed, then fill each muffin til almost full
- bake about 12 minutes

let cool, then store at room temperature in an airtight container for 3-4 days

APPLE CIDER MARGARITA MOCKTAIL 🍎✨

YOU NEED

* 1/4 c apple cider
* 2 tbsp lime juice
* 1/2 tbsp honey
* dash of cinnamon
* pinch or two of sea salt
* apple, lime or plain seltzer
* optional: extra cinnamon + sugar for the rim

WHAT TO DO

- combine apple cider, lime juice, honey, cinnamon + salt into a mason jar + mix
- fill a drink glass with ice and pour in the mixed apple cider margarita mixture
- top off with seltzer
