Sow a Legacy Seed – From a Seed to Bloom

Every great legacy begins with one seed — and this year, that seed is you.

We’re excited to announce that the Caribbean American Medical and Scientific Association (CAMSA) Inc. will be participating in GivingTuesday on December 2, 2025. This global movement celebrates generosity, unity, and the power of giving back — and for us, it’s an opportunity to sow seeds that grow into lasting impact.

Our goal is to raise $20,000 to support scholarships for students of Caribbean heritage pursuing studies in medicine and science, while also expanding our membership initiatives.

This year, CAMSA is joining thousands of organizations worldwide to uplift education, innovation, and community among Caribbean professionals.

The Barbados Cancer Association USA (BACA), Inc. in collaboration with the Barbados Nurses' Association of America Inc., and the Caribbean American Medical & Scientific Association (camsa), Inc., Inc. present the Dr. Deborah Brathwaite Annual Cancer Symposium on Saturday, September 13, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

This year's theme is Cancer: Advances, Risk Behaviors & Palliative Care.

The distinguished speakers for this event will be Dr. Lisa Barrow-Laing, PhD, Wayne Greaves, MD, Dr. Sincere McMillan, DNP and Mrs. Jessica Odle-Baril, JP.

In addition, we are pleased to have O'Neall E. Parris, MD, MPH, FAAP moderator this event.

CAMSA held their 2025 Summer Splash last Saturday in Brooklyn, New York.
It was an intimate affair, that allowed guests to lime and fundraise for the 2025 Scholarship.

On Sunday, March 2nd, the installation service was held for the 2025 Officers in Brooklyn at the Changing Lives Christian Center.

We extend a special thanks to Pastor Paul B. Mitchell and the entire Changing Lives Christian Center family for the warm welcome and solidifying the elected CAMSA Officers for 2025.

Congratulations to all those elected officers and wishing CAMSA a successful 2025.
