Jacob Levy, MSN, FNP-BC, is a knowledgeable family primary care provider who treats men, women, and children at Prominis Medical Services, a primary care outpatient clinic in New York City. Jacob sees patients at the Glendale office.

He began his professional education at Mount Sinai Beth Israel in New York City, followed up by a Bachelor of Science degree in 2015, from Chamberlain College. In 2018, he earned a master’s degree as a family nurse practitioner from State University of New York Downstate College of Nursing in Brooklyn, New York.

He holds professional memberships with the American Nurses Association and the Orthodox Jewish Nurses Association. Jacob sees patients of all ages, with extensive experience in caring for children and teens with diabetes.

As part of the team at Prominis Medical Services, he offers holistic prevention, diagnosis, and treatment for acute and chronic diseases. He provides patient-focused services, including smoking cessation, weight loss support, well-woman care, and pediatric care in addition to diagnosing and treating acute and chronic conditions of all types. With experience in pediatrics, emergency care, and diabetic management, Jacob is a valuable part of the primary care team at Prominis Medical Services.

Dr. Lora Slabodkina.

Lora Slabodkina, MD, brings more than 30 years of experience in internal medicine primary care to Prominis Medical Services, serving patients in Brooklyn and on Staten Island.

Dr. Slabodkina began her professional education at Krymskiy Medicinskiy Institut in Simferopol, Russia, where she earned her Doctor of Medicine. Following graduation, Dr. Slabodkina practiced medicine in Russia for 20 years before moving to the United States. During the course of her career, Dr. Slabodkina has served in various capacities in various parts of the country but mostly in New York City. She joined Prominis Medical Services, PC, in 2018.

Professionally, Dr. Slabodkina specializes in internal medicine primary care treating the entire range of acute and chronic diseases. In addition to general primary care she has experience in treating substance abuse, and she is licensed to prescribe Suboxone® for people struggling with opioid addiction. Dr. Slabodkina welcomes any man or woman seeking primary care.

Dr Slabodkina is an avid basketball player in her free time. She speaks fluent Russian.

Dear patients

Many of our patients have been suffering from arthritis. Our practice’s goal is to treat pain related to arthritis with various natural non-pharmaceutical remedies as much as possible.

One of the effective treatments is heat and vibration that can help improve blood circulation to the area naturally promoting healing of inflamed joints.

We sourced knee heating pads for our patients.

If you suffer from chronic knee pain and your doctor recommends a heat therapy, and your insurance does not cover a heating pad, ask our staff to provide you with one. We have a limited supply of a few hundred only, but we may order more if it will prove to be valuable for our patients.

Today we are presenting Dr. Somechukwu Onuoha - Internal Medicine.

Dr Onuoha received his medical degree from the University of Nigeria and completed graduate training at the Royal College of Physicians in the United Kingdom. Aside from his medical doctor degree, he earned a Master’s degree in Public Health from Albert Einstein College on an NIH scholarship.

Dr Onuoha’s academic credentials also include several publications in scientific journals addressing various topics in relevant health issues in urban patient populations.

Dr Onouha has been in practice for close to two decades. He specializes in geriatric primary care and therefore has a vast experience in treating complex elderly patients in the office or in their own home as a house call physician.
