In our work together, we will use techniques from meditation, body awareness practices, neurofeedback, cognitive-behavioral psychology and solution-focused therapy, while continuously using your present moment experience as information for healing and growth. I have a respectful curiosity and compassion for all of my clients and will encourage you to approach yourself, your story, and mind in the same way.

Our inner life, how we feel and the thoughts we think about ourselves and others matters. It especially matters when things feel off, not right, or extremely painful. It is easy to feel out of control or overwhelmed by our strong emotions sometimes. Dysregulation can easily occur and once we are dysregulated it is hard to make logical and rational choices for ourselves and our well-being. In Buddhist psychotherapy, our approach is to mix traditional Western psychology with Eastern philosophies and practices.

Can Neurofeedback Help With Anxiety?

Neurofeedback is an excellent support for those with anxiety. We have found that educating clients about how neurofeedback supports the anxious brain is key to the best outcomes.

Why education? The reason is because anxiety often creates a lot of doubt, fear and questions so we want to get you off to a good start with your training so first I want to define what anxiety is from the brain's point of view, so that the conceptual understanding can be a reference point for you and understanding why neurofeedback can help with anxiety.
