SPECIAL EDITION| Whats Good?!? RHUEC Tribe!!! We hope and pray you guys are safe and well during this pandemic. Obviously Mothers Day is gonna hit a helluva lot differently this year 😔 So in light of how we are forced to live (for our own safety) we are giving you something special to enjoy and share with the Mothers and like Mothers in your lives. “Good thoughts, good words, good deeds.” I recently saw this quote in the Queen movie, and I thought it perfectly describes the way I live my life. My name is Ashleigh Fields, and I am a freshman journalism major at Howard University. The first thing you should know about me is that I love to write. Words are food for the soul, and I am very picky about what I serve and eat. I started writing at the age of 4 years old. Poetry was my genre of choice. For some reason, the words flow easier in soliloquies or sonnets than in an essay. At a young age, I found myself up late cherishing the words of Toni Morrison and Sylvia Plath. And because of this, I was inspired to self publish two books. The first book is centered around expression and experience. While the second focuses on motivation and reluctance. Both books are available on Amazon, Kindle, and iBooks. Very soon they will be published on Barnes and Noble. Included in each book is a note to the reader. I find the connection between writer and reader to be sacred. I pray that you choose to indulge me and read my books!!
