When you embark on your journey as a nurse, I can guarantee there will be at least one or several individuals that will tell you to choose a different career 🤷🏻‍♀️

My advice, don’t listen to them. Many times, these comments come from a place of burnout and these feelings are being projected onto you.

If your dream is to be a nurse, go after it. Of course, it is a challenging profession. Although, learn to take care of yourself to minimize burnout many nurses experience.

Next time I see you, you better have RN next to your name😜

Even though the growth of the Hispanic population is growing, about 7%-9.7% of nurses identify as Latinos. This is a reminder that we are needed and representation matters 💯

Even more so, Latinos face challenges in achieving a high education. Although the 10% of us share can be examples of success and that YOU can also make it too.

If you have ever felt anxious, unsure, questioning why you became a nurse, etc as a new grad nurse. I get it because I have been there.

I have cried before shifts or even gone come questioning if I did everything I needed to. 🙃 So here are I few tips to help hopefully to make your new grad experience feel a bit easier.

Nursing school is HARD, it’s actually deemed one of the hardest degrees‼️

Nowww, imagine an accelerated program😭 I want you to know you are definitely not alone if you are struggling. I made this post to provide some advice and reassurance for anyone having a challenging time in nursing school.

At the end, remember YOU deserve the spot and were chosen to be accepted into the program for a reason. Be kind and gentle to yourself on this journey.
