The most common fear people express during consultation is the worry that they might look altered, different or plastic after undergoing a facelift. I’m so delighted to share this beautiful 58 year old patients result because I think it so perfectly illustrates how the right techniques, when paired with proper aesthetic judgement act more to restore than to change one’s appearance.

Her surgical plan included:

Today I was able to perform a cleft lip repair on this sweet 2 year old boy who traveled 5 hours by bus from the Sierra Nevadas to have surgery with our mission. We actually saw him last year but were unable to do his surgery because he had a bad cold. He was born with an incomplete cleft lip which means his palate is fully formed and the only issue is with the formation of his upper lip. By correcting his lip deformity, he can now have a more normal childhood and hopefully won’t be teased or ostracized. I’m so grateful to all the people who work hard to make these missions possible!

Today I was so excited to receive this from my lovely 63 year old patient 1 year after I performed her surgery. Like many of our patients in their 60s, she was interested in a comprehensive rejuvenation and underwent a , and . I think she looks absolutely fantastic! Her eyes look refreshed and rested without appearing different. The lower is performed with fat repositioning rather than fat removal to provide stable, long term volume to the lower eyelid. And by repositioning soft tissue from the deeper structure, we are able to soften the nasolabial folds, and smooth out the jowls without making the face appear tight of plastic. She’s such an awesome person with an incredibly diverse taste in music which she continually shares with me. I’m so grateful she traveled all the way from PA and trusted me with her face!

What a difference a day makes!! Here is my lovely 65 year old patient less than 24 hours after her and done yesterday! I also performed a to improve the heaviness of her jowl. Believe it or not, there was NO liposuction performed here! This is all deep neck contouring. She looks fantastic already and thankfully has very little bruising. I always prepare patients to expect about 2 weeks of bruising and swelling but in some cases patients experience very little bruising. Her skin will peel from the laser treatment over the next several days, but it is painless! She is a very busy physician herself so I’m so honored that she trusted me with her face. Can’t wait to share her progress as she continues to heal.

This past week I was so excited to see my lovely 56 year old patient for her 6 month follow up visit. She wanted to refresh her appearance and just look like a younger, more well rested version of herself! I performed a with , an to reshape and reposition her brows as well as and . I also performed a full face fractional resurfacing to eliminate fine lines and wrinkles. The result is a rebalancing of facial proportion which enhances her natural beauty. The deep plane technique works beneath the muscle layer and allows us to reposition the fallen soft tissue without creating any tension in the face. As a result, she looks smooth and refreshed instead of tight or pulled. Subtly repositioning her falling eyebrows gives her a softer and happier appearance. Today I was so excited to see my lovely 50 year old patient just 3 months after I performed her . I performed a with , and resurfacing. I think she looks absolutely fantastic! What I love about her result is that she looks just like a refreshed version of herself. So many patients worry about the possibility of looking “different” after having a but this result demonstrates that with proper technique and aesthetic judgement, you can just become a better version of yourself. Today I was absolutely blown away by my beautiful 52 year old patient just 2 months after I performed her . I performed a upper eyelid and . She looks fantastic!! One of the most important differences between deep plane surgery and other techniques is the unique ability to lift and reposition the falling facial soft tissue from the deeper layers, creating smooth and natural contours without ever appearing tight. Her jawline is crisp and defined. I think she looks like a refreshed version of herself! I’m so grateful she trusted me with her face.

I think her jawline looks amazing - defined and sharp without appearing overly tight. This is the beauty of the deep plane technique which releases the tethering points in the face and allows vertical repositioning of the falling soft tissue. I love rejuvenating the brow and upper lip at the same time as a because it allows us to restore a feminine facial balance.
