Hudson Guild Since its founding in 1895, Hudson Guild has been building a community in Chelsea and beyond!

Hudson Guild is a multi-service community center serving those who live, work or go to school in Chelsea, with a focus on those in need. Our work helps knit together a dynamic and multi-faceted community, supporting and empowering individuals as they pursue their personal, family, health, and professional goals. Our activities provide a stable “home away from home” for learning and development, an

d a safety net for people in economic distress. Building on our roots in the settlement house tradition, Hudson Guild takes an integrated, holistic approach to providing our services and building community. With offerings as varied as community service projects for at-risk teens, mental health counseling for low-income individuals, wellness presentations for seniors and art gallery exhibitions, the Guild works to address and engage the range of needs for its participants.

Hudson Guild’s 15th Annual Benefit returns on Monday, April 27. Join us for an evening celebrating community, impact, and partnership as we honor The Tapestry Foundation.

For more than 10 years, Tapestry and its brands, including Coach and Kate Spade New York, have been dedicated partners in our work. Their support has included hundreds of employee volunteers, hands-on opportunities for students, and meaningful financial investment. Together, we reach 16,000 neighbors each year with programs in education, mental health, workforce development, and the arts.

Because of this support, last year:
• 87% of children in our early childhood programs entered kindergarten ready to succeed
• 350 high school students received more than 2,500 hours of tutoring and college prep
• 6,790 counseling sessions supported over 200 community members
• Nearly 4,600 visitors engaged with artwork from 489 artists
• 97% of our college applicants enrolled in 2 or 4 year institutions

We are proud to recognize Julia Furnari, Executive Director of The Tapestry Foundation and Coach Foundation, who will accept this year’s award. She leads global philanthropic efforts at Tapestry and has overseen more than $250 million in charitable giving while advancing sustainability, disaster relief, and access to education worldwide.

Between Saturday, April 11th and Sunday, April 19th, residents across New York City will cast their ballot and vote for projects to improve schools, parks, libraries, and other public spaces in their community.

Voting is open to everyone aged 11 and older (or at least in 6th grade) who lives in, works or has a special connection (i.e. goes to school) in a participating Council District. Help shape the future of your community by casting your vote today.

All Hudson Guild sites will be closed on Monday, February 23rd due to inclement weather.

We expect to resume in-person programming on Tuesday, February 24th, pending weather and site conditions.

Congratulations to newly-elected State Senator Erik Bottcher!

Erik Bottcher has been a constant presence in our community in Chelsea and throughout the West Side as a City Council Member. He has been a champion of social services and has been invaluable in supporting our work with after school, teen services, older adults, mental health, and much more. | Emergency Food Support: Provided more than $34,000 in grocery store gift cards to 81 families, many of whom faced recent changes to their supplemental food benefits.

| Senior Food Bag Program: Completed a successful 12-week season in collaboration with , offering bags of fresh, locally grown fruits and vegetables for just $10 to help make healthy food more accessible to older adults in our community.

| Hot Community Meals: This fall, Hudson Guild has served thousands of meals to individuals, families, and groups of friends of all ages during the holiday season through daily meals and events like our Back to School Bash, Halloween Monster Mash, Community Thanksgiving, and Thanksgiving Day lunch.
