I’ve had the privilege of evaluating so many veterans—hearing their stories, helping with service-related challenges, and feeling like I can finally serve my country too. (My own service was halted by a GI disorder—a story for another day.)

From WWII through the War on Terror and beyond, each veteran reminds me why this work matters.

But my favorite heroes are close to home—my dad, who served in the Air Force during the Vietnam era, and my grandfather, a bombardier navigator in the Army Air Corps during WWII. Their stories shaped my life—and maybe explain why I’m drawn to aircrafts, whether I’m jumping out of them or learning to pilot a single engine piper. It’s in my blood. ✈️

Today and every day, I salute all who’ve served—thank you for your courage, your sacrifice, and the freedom you’ve given us to soar. ❤️🤍💙

On Election Day, one message feels loud.

For the past several years, on or around 9/11, I jumped to honor those who were faced with an impossible choice.

This year marked my 5th consecutive jump.
(every year since 2021, a personal turning point for me.)

This season has been heavy — political noise, environmental chaos, feeling of fracture everywhere.

When I jump, I do it in remembrance of a time
filled with fear & loss —but also in the name of freedom.

In those 30 seconds of freefall, followed by minutes of calm under the parachute,
I see the shoreline,
the city,
and the sky —
and I’m reminded of what truly matters.

Freedom to speak and be heard.
Freedom to love.
Equal rights across religion, gender, & race.
Freedom to make choices for our bodies.
Freedom to feel safe.
Freedom to live wholly & authentically.

At a time when those freedoms feel blurred, & we as people feel more divided, I’m struck by the thread that still connects us all.

This year’s jump, as always,
honored the victims of 9/11 —
but it also honored that invisible thread
that binds us together.

A reminder
that we are far more alike than we are different,
and that, ultimately,
we are all just walking each other home.

🎧 it is not National Audiology Month or National Hearing Protection Month without Sensaphonics!

Founded and run by an audiologist, Dr. Mike Santucci .michael who has been a personal role model and mentor in this field.

Sensaphonics has made hearing conservation & sound safety their mission since day one.

Celebrating 40 years, they’ve led the charge in creating soft-silicone monitors & protection tools that let musicians perform safely — keeping the magic of music loud and clear, without risking the ears that make it possible.

💗 chEARs to Sensaphonics — and to always remembering to .

🎶 Because Every Day Should Be Laundry Day!

These incredible guys trust their in-ear monitors to keep every note crisp and every performance hearing-safe. Love this band — you should catch them (and their ears!) on tour! 🎸

JH Audio helped set the stage (pun intended!) for developing tools that let musicians hear better on stage. National Audiology Month & National Hearing Conservation Month feel like the perfect time to highlight both the tools they create and the bands that depend on them. 💗🎧

🎧 chEARs to Vlad Belonozhko & the team at — true innovators in sound & hearing.

Their open-air dynamic design lets musicians experience natural, fatigue-free sound before fully committing to custom in-ears — bridging the gap between comfort, clarity & hearing conservation.

Grateful for all the collaboration, creativity & care that Bellos brings! 💗🎶

🎶 Protect the Mix — Preserve the Magic!
As National Audiology Month & National Hearing Conservation Month wrap up, I’m spotlighting the incredible partners who help musicians, engineers, and producers keep their hearing sharp and their sound pure — and offer a little boost when necessary!

From the stage to the studio, hearing protection isn’t optional — it’s part of the gear. 💗🎧

“Dear New York”

A moving exhibit in Grand Central — a visual symphony of photographers capturing the heartbeat of NYC through its people, boroughs, & art.

Each display told a story — of neighborhoods, culture, struggle, pride, resilience, and joy. The outer walls showcased the work of NYC middle and high school students honoring mentors who inspired them. Their images, interwoven with those of professional photographers, served as a reminder that every spark of talent grows when someone believes in you.

These are challenging times — politically, socially, economically, emotionally. But this reminded me: even when I don’t always like NYC, I will always love NYC.

It’s the only place with arms big & strong enough to hold us all — every color, shape, size, language, and artistic expression — and still whisper:
You belong here. You are home.

Paul Simon teaches us to live through the noise.
He’s our father, our pastor, our resource for both lessons and benedictions.

For 60 years, he has been a voice of calm logic and emotional truth —
reminding us that even in “The Sound of Silence,”
there is wisdom waiting to be heard.

And with his soft steadiness amidst a loud and restless world,
he continues to show us how to live with clarity, heart, and perseverance —
because, like the boxer,
“the fighter still remains.” 🕊️🎶

Happy, happy birthday to a legend —
the heartbeat of Brill-Building-Era America —
Paul Simon.

✨ Robert Redford gave us Hubbell — the man who broke our hearts because he was so easy to love, but never quite brave enough to stay. Barbra Streisand gave us Katie — the woman who never stopped pushing, believing, and loving too much. Forever.

I cannot imagine any other Hubbell. So thankful to Robert Redford for helping us see ourselves in a love story that was never simple, but always unforgettable.

“Your girl is lovely, Hubbell.”
