Surrealism is about transformation and at Surreal Eyewear we transform your desire for the finest and most exciting eyewear designs into reality. Surreal Eyewear is more of an eyewear consultant than retailer and prides itself in curating a sophisticated and vast array of new, vintage and custom eyewear brands from all over the world. Located in New York City’s West Village, “Surreal Eyewear is a museum of eyewear. It’s a tribute to eyewear design”, according to Oleg Rabinovich, the store’s owner. Unique and world renowned brands such as Kuboraum, Dzimtry Samal, FACE a FACE, Theo and Anne et Valentine compliment Surreal Eyewear’s recently expanded line of its own handmade frames and sunglasses. At Surreal Eyewear one does not pick out a pair of glasses. You enter into a process that ensures that you will not only walk away impossibly chic but will also convey function and art. Our opticians are the conduits into this process, selecting frames to fit an individual’s face and personality, never shy about refusing to sell frames that are deemed unsuitable. We are first and foremost opticians with lens fabrication (optics by Carl Zeiss) done in-house with standards all can aspire to. For the truly demanding, ideas can be developed into custom frames and lenses for a one-off production that transcends the mundane. Over a decade ago we set new standards as Artsee Eyewear in the Meatpacking District. Today, we present you with our evolution to Surreal Eyewear.
