Dr. Sherrell Aston is a Manhattan board-certified cosmetic surgeon offering advanced procedures for the face, breast and body. Considered an international expert in aesthetic surgery, Dr. Aston leads a world-renowned aesthetic surgery symposium in New York City annually, where more than 900 surgeons from 64 countries attend to listen to him lecture. Just returned from Paris 🇫🇷 after lecturing at the IMCAS World Congress 2026, alongside outstanding colleagues and experts from around the world.

I made presentations on:
1️⃣ Closed Rhinoplasty Techniques for mid-vault and tip support in both primary and secondary cases and showed long term results up to 43 years post operative
2️⃣ Deep Plane Facelift Demystified
3️⃣ A video demonstration of my unique fingertip browlift technique

4️⃣ I also had the pleasure of moderating a dynamic panel with Dr. Alexander Schoenborn () with exceptional presenters from various countries including: Dr. Katrin Mueller (), Dr. Faleh Alshahrani (), Prof. Lee L.Q. Pu (.dr.pu), Dr. Bernard Mole (.mole.10), Dr. Steven Cohen (), Dr. Jean-Marie Faivre () and Dr. Lucas Kreutz Rodrigues ()

In the 5th photo, Dr. Paul Nassif () – renowned surgeon and co-host of the E! reality series Botched() – and I discussing our various facelift techniques.

Most of New York may be shut down, but teamwork doesn’t stop at 728 Park Avenue!

Our first patient planned ahead and stayed nearby knowing the storm was coming. Jessie (our scrub tech) got a hotel close by, Maren powered through the snow, Dr. Sebeo lives nearby, and Jane came in to take care of pre-ops. Kim and Dennice are covering all other office operations.

Thanks to thoughtful planning and a dedicated team, care continues without interruption.

Happy 21st Birthday Ashleigh and Bracie. Your mom and I are so very proud of the young women you have become.

Muffie and I hosted a birthday dinner celebration in their honor in the private dinner room at La Goulue with a few of their close friends. It was the perfect start to their 21st year.

They are 3 ½ years old in the photo on the menu card… time flies.

One of the most important things about doing aesthetic surgeries is having a fabulous team working with you. Debbie is a Registered Nurse and my Patient Coordinator. She schedules all the surgical procedures. Jessie is a fabulous Surgical Tech, works like she has 3 hands. Love working with her - really superb! Takes care of all the instruments. Maren is a Registered Nurse, excellent injector of fillers and neurotoxin but she is wonderful in the Operating Room as a Circulator and preparing all of the local anesthesia. Dr. Tannenbaum, expert Anesthesiologist. One of the best in the world. Main medication that he uses for people during the surgery is Propofol. Thousands of people every day have Propofol for colonoscopies for looking in joints, etc. People wake up really quickly and huge percentage of our patients walk to Recovery Room.

It is a fabulous way to start our surgery schedule for 2026!

I was invited to give the Keynote Lecture at The Florida Society of Plastic Surgery at The Breakers in Palm Beach during which I presented the development of facelift techniques as they evolved from skin resection to current sophisticated procedures that deliver elegant rejuvenating results.

I stressed that there is no one facelift technique that delivers the best result for every patient and demonstrated who gets the best result with each technique including various SMAS procedures (of which there are several) and Deep Plane procedures.

1st picture Dr. Manuel Pena who was a MEETH Aesthetic Surgery Fellow in 1989, immediate Past President of the FSPS and Chairman of the Program Committee for this meeting gave me a generous introduction which is edited for this post and he presented me with a plaque that is seen on the 3rd picture with Dr. Andrew Rosenthal who is the current President of FSPS.

Also, at a special luncheon for Residents and Fellows, I gave them some pointers which I think will be helpful in the future when they establish their practices.

The faculty for this meeting was superb! I always learn from my colleagues. 5th picture includes Dr. Tracy Pfeifer who is currently the President of The Aesthetic Society and Dr. Bradley Calobrace who delivered several talks on managing difficult breast surgery problems.

I also demonstrated a video of my brow lift technique. When I left Palm Beach it was 75 degrees when I arrived at LaGuardia it was 25 degrees. I love all seasons!

Back from the fabulous NYC in Paris Plastic Surgery Symposium () last night after an unexpected snowstorm delayed flights. Kudos to NYC Professor of Plastic Surgery Dr. Ernest Chiu () and Dr. Jacques Saboye who is the Past President of SOFCPRE and the General Secretary of the French Society of Plastic Surgery for their organizational skills covering all of the subspecialty areas of Plastic Surgery. NYU Hansjörg Wyss Department of Plastic Surgery speakers included Dr. Jamie Levine, Dr. Rachel Bluebond-Langer, Dr. Duc Bui and of course Dr. Ernest Chiu. Former NYU trainees included Professor of Plastic Surgery at MSK Dr. Peter Cordeiro, Dr. Mokhtar Asaadi and Dr. Douglas Steinbrech (). Mount Sinai, Cornell and Presbyterian were also well represented. And the faculty of speakers representing the French Society of Plastic Surgery were all superb!

I was asked to share my experience with “Which Anatomy-Based Facelift Technique for Which Patient”. I was introduced by Parisian Dr. Alexandre Marchac (.marchac) whose late father was an NYU craniofacial fellow.

Paris was in full beauty and holiday spirit as seen by swiping the photos.
