I am looking forward to joining Plastic Surgery colleagues from all over the world in Paris at the January 29 to 31, 2026. This is a huge educational event! I will be giving talks on my three favorite surgical procedures.

1️⃣ Advanced Closed Rhinoplasty (no visible incision) showing how to obtain architectural support and long-term excellent results.

2️⃣ Deep Plane Facelifting Demystified showing which patients get the best results with which technique.

3️⃣ Fingertip Brow lifting - a novel technique which produces elegant results and rapid healing.

I am also moderating a panel along with Dr. Alexander Schoenborn () from Berlin with presentations by eight surgeons from different countries showing their presentation on micro fat grafting of the face, high-definition face and neck lifting, a reduced scar deep plane technology, a scarless facelift technique, deep plane facelifting, two lectures on hemostatic net and evaluating the “need” for submandibular gland removal. This is a must-see panel for anyone performing facelifts!

I was invited to give the Keynote Lecture at The Florida Society of Plastic Surgery at The Breakers in Palm Beach during which I presented the development of facelift techniques as they evolved from skin resection to current sophisticated procedures that deliver elegant rejuvenating results.

I stressed that there is no one facelift technique that delivers the best result for every patient and demonstrated who gets the best result with each technique including various SMAS procedures (of which there are several) and Deep Plane procedures.

1st picture Dr. Manuel Pena who was a MEETH Aesthetic Surgery Fellow in 1989, immediate Past President of the FSPS and Chairman of the Program Committee for this meeting gave me a generous introduction which is edited for this post and he presented me with a plaque that is seen on the 3rd picture with Dr. Andrew Rosenthal who is the current President of FSPS.

Also, at a special luncheon for Residents and Fellows, I gave them some pointers which I think will be helpful in the future when they establish their practices.

The faculty for this meeting was superb! I always learn from my colleagues. 5th picture includes Dr. Tracy Pfeifer who is currently the President of The Aesthetic Society and Dr. Bradley Calobrace who delivered several talks on managing difficult breast surgery problems.

I also demonstrated a video of my brow lift technique. When I left Palm Beach it was 75 degrees when I arrived at LaGuardia it was 25 degrees. I love all seasons!

Our wonderful post operative facelift patient, who is a Doctor, hand delivered this special note on a post operative visit. I agree with her. My entire “team” is the very best and essential in delivering the kind of care all patients deserve.

We are most appreciative that she took the time to write this note and indicates that we were successful in achieving our goal. Making patients happy is our highest priority!

Very beautiful and elegant lady 19 months following her facelift was kind enough to give me permission to post her fabulous photographs. I and she think her results are perfect which were obtained without leaving any signs of a surgical procedure. Experience makes a difference!

Back from the fabulous NYC in Paris Plastic Surgery Symposium () last night after an unexpected snowstorm delayed flights. Kudos to NYC Professor of Plastic Surgery Dr. Ernest Chiu () and Dr. Jacques Saboye who is the Past President of SOFCPRE and the General Secretary of the French Society of Plastic Surgery for their organizational skills covering all of the subspecialty areas of Plastic Surgery. NYU Hansjörg Wyss Department of Plastic Surgery speakers included Dr. Jamie Levine, Dr. Rachel Bluebond-Langer, Dr. Duc Bui and of course Dr. Ernest Chiu. Former NYU trainees included Professor of Plastic Surgery at MSK Dr. Peter Cordeiro, Dr. Mokhtar Asaadi and Dr. Douglas Steinbrech (). Mount Sinai, Cornell and Presbyterian were also well represented. And the faculty of speakers representing the French Society of Plastic Surgery were all superb!

I was asked to share my experience with “Which Anatomy-Based Facelift Technique for Which Patient”. I was introduced by Parisian Dr. Alexandre Marchac (.marchac) whose late father was an NYU craniofacial fellow.

Paris was in full beauty and holiday spirit as seen by swiping the photos.

Dr. Sam Hamra is a colleague and great friend. His contributions to facial rejuvenation is widely known and respected by our Plastic Surgery colleagues around the world. I congratulate Dr. Hamra for documenting in his 2016 paper published in www.PRSjournal.com, "Building the Compostie Facelift: A Personal Odyssey", where he noted:

"However, I followed many deep plane patients for years and was a bit disappointed in many of the 10-year results, because the cheek fat repositioning had no superior vertical anchor, and therefore, with aging, whatever improvement initially gained appeared minimally maintained. To be honest, I felt an obligation to publish an article describing short-term improvement but long-term disappointment."

He did publish that paper and his observations and honesty speak to his integrity.

Perfect and elegant result for this patient in her early 40s who chose a facelift rather than fillers to give her a lasting and elegant more youthful facial shape. The only way to get this kind of result is surgical and will last for many years. ⏳
