Your "Partner" In Your Secret Hair Affair
MixxTresses Hair Collection was created by me, Erica Watson, NYC hairstylist and hair care specialist. As a woman with natural hair, I personally know and understand the difficulty in maintaining, growing and caring for curly hair. It has become very popular in the past few years to embrace and grow out natural hair. Despite that, many women feel like they just cannot deal with their hair in its natural state. It's very intimidating for them, but it is usually the best way to grow and retain healthy hair. Because of this, some of my most requested services in the salon are protective hairstyles like weaves and crochet braids. But as with everything, there are pros and cons. I listened to some of the concerns my clients expressed to me such as leave out breaking off, heat damage, and the shifting and thinning of their closures over time. They also were frustrated with hairstyles not being workout friendly and the inability to access their scalp as often as they like. Soooo, I decided to come up with a wig line for them. One that would allow them to get accustomed to natural hair textures and styles without having to sacrifice the integrity of their own hair and also be able to wear straight styles without heat damage. In addition, it eliminates the worry of sweating out a style or even over-processing already relaxed hair. That's where MixxTresses comes in! We have front and full lace options so that you can choose the degree of versatility in the styles you wear. Our textures range from curly to straight so that you can "fake it, till you make it" or just try something new without having to fully commit to it. Now I bet your probably wondering where the name came from though. It's a really cool play on words. MixxTresses Hair Collection offers a variety of options (hence the mixx part) and the name of my salon is Mixx Beauty Bar and Hair Lounge. Tresses is another word for hair and I think we all know what a mistress is, lol. You have a union with your hair, sort of like a marriage. Our units and hair are your secret way of cheating on your hair. With all that compiled in thought, MixxTresses was born!! Hair is an accessory!
