My thought about the importance of weight loss vs toning your core and how that can look and feel

Many people say right away... I need to lose weight. I've gained 15 pounds since I hurt my back.

Don't waste your time stretching your hamstrings

Unless you're into ballet, karate or high hurdles.

Here's why...

Long legs and high kicks look good.
But a strong and short hamstring is very important for hip and knee stability and control and to protect your spine.

My favorite exercises (although I have so many) are bridging, single leg bridging and prone hamstring curls with an ankle weight.

Keep your hamstrings short and STRONG

How are you doing with the cold?
Its hard right?
And hard to get used to.
Tonight, on my way home from work, I reminded myself to take my hands OUT OF MY POCKETS and let my arms swing.
My hands got cold, I need gloves.
But I felt the ease in my neck and shoulders return and more flow to my gait as well.

For beginners, notice that opposite arm and leg go together. When your right hand comes forward, so does your left foot.

More on that soon.
