A small practice:
Place one hand on your chest and one on your belly. Recall a mild memory, not the most painful one.
Notice what your body does. Does it tighten? Pull back? Hold its breath?
Now gently say, “That made sense.”
No release required. No forgiveness demanded.

When trauma happens to us, these memories embed themselves in our bodies on a cellular level. This is what leads to our particular types of behavior, personalities and affects our reactions and relationships. When we feel overwhelmed, unhappy, alone and disconnected, this is a matter of suppressed trauma and previous pain. NDT goes into the memory, back to where the pain or trauma initially happened, and removes that old memory and pain through taking a New Decision which only happens through forgiveness.
