✔ Acute injury (first 0–48 hours)
✔ Swelling & inflammation
✔ Sprain, strain, twist
✔ Bruise / hematoma
✔ Minor bleeding
✔ Post-trauma pain
✔ After injections or IV cannulation pain

🔹 Benefits
• Reduces edema
• Decreases inflammation
• Numbs pain (analgesic effect)
• Limits tissue damage

🔹 How to apply
• Ice pack wrapped in cloth
• Apply 15–20 minutes
• Repeat every 2–3 hours

⚠️ Precautions

❌ Do NOT apply ice directly on skin
❌ Avoid in poor circulation / frostbite risk
❌ Not for chronic stiffness
