Hi friends! Our practice is collecting food to donate to the Agave Pediatrics’ food drive! Thousands of Arizona children are unlikely to receive their food assistance in November. Every donation matters! Agave Pediatrics has five valley locations which makes dropping off donations a breeze - Phoenix, Glendale, Goodyear, Scottsdale, and Chandler! We are also happy to pick up donations in the North Phoenix area. DM for more info if interested!

Friends, due to the current government shutdown, Arizona kids with SNAP benefits are not scheduled to receive food assistance in November. Agave Pediatrics is hosting a food drive at five of their clinics over the next several days. Please bring unexpired, non-perishable food items to any Agave Pediatrics office over the next week to join the cause and help their efforts. “All donations will be used to benefit Phoenix-area charities. The most urgent needs are peanut butter, rice and beans, cereal and pasta, along with canned fruit, vegetables, soups, and proteins. Please share with your friends, family, and followers to share that we care!”

Fi****ms are the number one cause of death for children and teenagers in the United States. THE NUMBER ONE CAUSE. Children are curious beings - that’s literally in their job description. They’re also notorious for making bad decisions - that’s why they require parental supervision and common sense safeguards. Keep your children and other children safe by storing guns in a manner that makes access to them impossible for children.

Pro tips from NC S.A.F.E.

1. Unload your firearm. It is best practice to always unload your firearm when not in use. Storing bullets away from your firearm is also recommended.

2. Lock it up. Always. Every time. If your gun lock uses a key, make sure you’re the only one who knows where the key is hidden. If the lock uses a combination or code, don’t use a code that an older child may be able to guess (birthday, anniversary, or the last four digits of your phone number).

3. Don’t leave it unsecured in a car.
