What do I do the week of the open?! A question we’ve been asked frequently over the years. In all honesty, you likely already know what to do to make your body feel good throughout the week, but the real puzzle is how to train throughout the week to leave yourself primed for the open workout.

We like to use the above example as a simple template to address the volume and intensities that each day should meet in order to leave yourself in the best physical preparation for Friday (or Saturday if your gym prefers).

The most important factor of the Open is to HAVE FUN. It should not be stressful, it shouldn’t ruin your week, or day. It’s all about the experience and the COMMUNITY around you. Enjoy the workouts & suffer like we all do!

P.S. 1-and-done. If you’re not a games athlete, you don’t need to repeat your workouts for a better score.
