"According to the Maricopa County Department of Public Health, a person with infectious measles may have exposed people at two public locations last week. One of those was a concert at the Mortgage Matchup Center on Nov. 5 and the other at the Home2 Suites by Hilton in downtown Phoenix the same night."

Symptoms to watch for include a rash that starts on your face and moves down the body, red, watery eyes, cough and runny nose. If you are unsure if you are up to date on your measles vaccination, check MyIRmobile.com or ask your pharmacist or health care worker.

Two Arizona counties have confirmed measles exposures at public places last week. The infected people visited Flagstaff and downtown Phoenix.

Measles cases are still on the rise in Mohave County, fortunately the Public Health Department continues to see residents visiting their clinics to get updated on their vaccine. Read more below.

"Residents are absolutely choosing to get vaccinated. We’ve seen strong participation in our MMR (measles, mumps and rubella vaccine) clinics, and many community members who received their first dose are now coming back for their second," Lagana said.

Mohave County in Arizona and Washington County in Utah had reported a total of 78 measles cases between them, as of Sept. 25, 2025.

Gov. Hobbs signed an executive order to expand COVID-19 vaccine administration in pharmacies without requiring a prescription. In the coming weeks, this means you will not need to ask for a prescription to get vaccinated at your pharmacy, if you are eligible to receive the COVID vaccine.

Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs signed an executive order this week to expand access to COVID vaccines after the U.S. Health Department narrowed eligibility. The order came after pharmacies began requiring a prescription for shots.
