During the recent ice storms in northern Mississippi, while deployed to support emergency operations, a crew from Maricopa Ambulance experienced a moment they will never forget — safely delivering a baby under extremely challenging conditions.

With icy roads, limited access to care, and storm-related disruptions across the region, this call was a powerful reminder that even in the most difficult circumstances, EMS professionals bring skill, compassion, and critical care wherever and whenever it is needed.

In response to the recent winter weather and ice storm that impacted the Oxford area, teams from across the Priority Ambulance family of companies came together to support a coordinated emergency response.

Crews from Baptist Ambulance, Shoals Ambulance, Central EMS, and Maricopa Ambulance worked collaboratively to provide assistance during severe weather conditions, demonstrating the strength of mutual aid and cross-team coordination.

Despite hazardous conditions and road closures, responders continued to mobilize where help was needed most. We also extend our sincere thanks to the Mississippi National Guard for assisting with personnel transport into Oxford when access was limited—an outstanding example of teamwork across agencies.

We are incredibly proud of everyone involved. When severe weather challenges our communities, collaboration, preparedness, and commitment make all the difference. 💙

This week, collaboration and coordination made all the difference. With support from the National Guard, crews traveled from our Arizona operation to assist here in Mississippi, ensuring continued coverage and patient care when it was needed most.

We are grateful for the teamwork, flexibility, and commitment shown by everyone involved. Moments like these highlight the strength of partnership and the dedication of those who step up to serve our communities.
