⛳ How Physical Therapy Can Improve Your Golf Game
Want more distance and fewer aches after 18 holes?
Physical therapy isn’t just for injuries — it’s a performance tool.
🏌️‍♂️ Improve Mobility
Better hip + thoracic rotation = smoother swing & more clubhead speed.
💪 Build Golf-Specific Strength
Strong core + glutes = more power and better balance.
🚫 Prevent Injuries
Address low back pain, golfer’s elbow, and shoulder strain before they sideline you.
🎯 Move More Efficiently
Better body awareness = more consistent ball striking.
Don’t just upgrade your clubs.
Upgrade your body. ⛳

Did you know: Fascia communicates with your brain 3x faster than your nervous system?

Shown here: the “Sack of Buns”!

This stretch is a fan favorite for a reason! "Sack of Buns" targets the Frontal, Spiral, and Lateral fascial nets. What does that mean? It means that in this stretch, Steele is targeting the thoraco-lumbar fascia, the Quadratus Lumborum (QL), low back, and Glute Med, and posterior-lateral Glute Max. While it may seem extreme, this is actually a very gentle stretch that increases ROM by increasing hip rotation & external rotation of the femur. What you will feel is gentle to moderate decompression of the lower back and hips, and all the good stuff that comes with that!

The QL is a deep abdominal muscle in the lower back, spanning from the pelvis to the lowest rib and spine, essential for posture, stabilization, and lateral bending. QL syndrome involves a tight, painful, or spasming muscle, frequently caused by prolonged sitting, weak glutes, or improper posture. Tight glutes often result from prolonged sitting, poor posture, or overtraining, causing discomfort in the hips and lower back.

Fascia Stretch Therapy (FST) can address the pain or discomfort you experience by using traction, oscillation, and circumduction, and is a therapeutic approach to pain relief and improved mobility and performance. FST works within the fascial nets, as well as the joint capsules, creating a holistic approach to feeling and moving better. This is what separates FST from traditional assisted stretching. No system in the body works alone, and fascia touches everything!
