The fully accredited NAU Doctor of OT degree is the only public and non-profit graduate program in the Southwest United States. NAU OT provides contemporary practice content and instructional approaches to prepare graduates to be leading, competent occupational therapy practitioners as practice-scholars and advance the profession’s knowledge and practice to improve the quality of life supporting individual self-efficacy and sustainable communities across a variety of health conditions and contexts.

For prospective students looking to start in Fall 2027 or beyond, we encourage you to attend a future Virtual Open House to learn more about our community, curriculum, and admissions process.

It’s conference season! Over the past month, faculty have stayed on top of current trends through , , and the Academic Leadership Council conferences. We believe learning never stops. To keep advancing our teaching, we need to keep learning ourselves.

Check out Dr. Bachman at the conference, where she expanded her expertise and reconnected with alumni and community partners. Shoutout to our presenters who shared their research and inventions ( ) to help advance care for upper extremity conditions.

Our OT students in the Arizona AHEC Scholars Program just wrapped up their first immersions in Nogales, Wickenburg, and Payson, where they explored how social determinants of health impact care and wellness across Arizona.

The AHEC Scholars Program is a two-year, hands-on learning experience for health professions students from NAU, ASU, and University of Arizona who are committed to serving rural and underserved communities across Arizona.

It’s Resting WHFO Lab Day for our hybrid students! ✋ (Wrist-Hand-Finger Orthosis, for the non-OTs 😉)

Today we’re training future occupational therapists to become skilled hand therapists! A WHFO supports the wrist, hand, and fingers to prevent loss of motion and maintain proper alignment.
