Motivation Monday!!!
When it comes to doing business, there's no getting around the 'sales' aspect.
Marketing is a necessary part of commerce that will make or break a company.
The real essence of sales is simply this:
Uncovering challenges (desired outcome) and exploring potential solutions (offers).
It doesn't get any more complicated than that!
You may be asking yourself, "Coach Austin, what does this have to do with my Wellness...?"
Glad you asked!
Whenever we make a personal decision, there is a degree of 'internal sales' that happens.
Let's take selecting an item off the menu to eat, for example.
1. Essentially, you discovered a challenge that you are experiencing:
"I am hungry and need to eat."
2. You then explore several potential solutions: the different menu items.
"Do I want burger? No, I just had one yesterday..."
"A salad? No, I'm way too hungry for a salad..."
"Oh! A steak sounds nice..."
You repeat this process over and over, flipping through the menu until you find that one dish that checks all the boxes for you.
You then place your order and enjoy a satisfying meal...

See what I mean by 'internal sales'?
You 'sold yourself' on which meal sounded the best and offered the most bang for your buck.
This may sound unrelated to Wellness, but it's no different.
Every day, you get to confront your challenges and explore solutions.
I get it.
Working out is not easy.
Eating healthy is not easy.
Turning off the electronics an hour before bed is not easy.
You will have to SELL YOURSELF on the VALUE of healthy habits. Every. Single. Day.
You will have to confront those internal objections that plague us all:
"Eating healthy is too expensive!"
"Working out takes too much time!"
"I don't care about getting enough sleep!"
"I just don't feel like it today!"
Maintaining our Wellness is perhaps one of the most demanding challenges of them all.
Once you make a commitment to getting your Wellness in order, it will take DAILY DISCIPLINE to make it a reality.
If you're serious about taking back your Active Lifestyle for good, you need to get in the habit of selling yourself on the VALUE of your vision.
So the real question is:
How long will you stay stuck in, "Let me think about it" mode?
