Open up 🚪🔑
Giving Tuesday - a global day of generosity where people around the world come together to support causes that matter - is Tuesday, December 2nd! This year, we’re opening doors. Literally.

Join us this Giving Tuesday to help replace 8 aged and inaccessible doors at our Phoenix campus with safe, beautiful, ADA-accessible entryways. Early donations are already being counted toward our goal, and every gift brings us one step closer to opening doors for our Members.

Why does this matter? We’ll let our CEO, Kelli, explain:
“For many people, a door is just a door. But for our Members, safe and accessible doors provide security, privacy, dignity, and independence. Many of our current doors are aging. Some no longer close properly; some are heavy and difficult to open, and others simply don’t meet today’s accessibility and safety standards. Replacing them isn’t glamorous—but it is absolutely necessary. This Giving Tuesday, your support will help us install new, fully accessible, secure doors across campus leading to greater safety, autonomy, and opportunity for everyone we support. Thank you for believing in our mission of providing quality, individualized supports to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in dynamic and innovative environments, and for standing with us today and every day.”

Thanksgiving - Avondale style! 🦃
Members from all of our campuses and homes joined together at our Avondale campus today to give thanks, celebrate the season with one another, aaaand... eat a whole lot of pie 🥧🧡!

From the decor (on point!), to the turkey line, to the ramped up raffle, & the energy in every corner of campus, our annual Avondale Thanksgiving bash was everything a celebration should be - warm, joyful, and full of holiday pandemonium 🍂🎉🎊.

As we officially kick off this holiday season, we're thankful that YOU are a part of our community and wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving from our big Tree family to yours! 🌍

Tree Fort rules! 🌳🎒
The Tree Fort is our after-school program for teens still in school, and across all of our campuses, our Tree Forters are busy this Fall making the most of afternoon adventures. 🍂

Picking through pumpkin patches, romping down hay slides, creating customized gear, and setting up for the Holidays are just a few examples of the Tree Fort's daily dynamic & innovative environments. ❇️

This is also more than just an after-school program; our Tree Fort doubles as a transition program to help our teens start thinking about life after school, learn and explore new talents and interests, and jump directly into our adult programming the day after graduation. It’s also where imagination, friendship, and new experiences come together every single afternoon 🤝. Big thanks to our youth Members & staff who make it all happen! 💛

Olééé, olé, olé, oléééé!! 📢🌳🔥 17 games. 4 fields. 1 tournament of champions! 🏆
The 2025 Fireslammers World Cup Soccer Invitational turned Perry Park into a battlefield of heart, hustle, and humanity today! ⚽️ 🥅

Fireslammer Nation invited footballers from , .1975, and for both Unified and Traditional competition and the sweat, scrapes, cheers, chants, hugs, high-fives, grit, and a few tears made this tournament one for the books. 🥇

HUGE shoutout to & Parks & Rec for organizing the fields and supporting inclusive sports that build real community. And an extra special shoutout to Efleets Philanthropic team for pulling referee and scorekeeping duties, and calling a fair one all the way down the line.

🙌 Congratulations to Civitan for taking home the Traditional trophy, and to ARCH for winning the Unified title! This was just the warm up...next up, we're back at it for the Palo Verde soccer tourney in December.

We dropped by The Phoenix Symphony this morning to say THANK YOU again for the unforgettable evening they brought to life alongside our Members at our Annual Autumn Soirée in October! The sweet sounds of La Bamba, Billy Jean, Let It Go and the rest of the line up are still ringing throughout the Tree . ✨

The best part? Our partnership goes beyond one impactful performance; this collaboration is transforming lives, inspiring connections, introducing our Members to the magic of the symphony, and introducing the world of the symphony to the power of our people.

Intergenerational energy 🤝🌍 !
Over the past few months, our Supported Aging program has partnered with Huntington University's Occupational Therapy (OT) students to share the benefits of OT programming with our Members, while helping students gain real-world experience in working with people with intellectual disabilities.

Students led a variety of group activities to support our Members in developing fine motor & sequencing skills while encouraging memory recall using art, colors & numbers.

Experiences like these are critical to helping our Supported Aging Members continue to grow, learn and explore while also fostering greater awareness, empathy, and practical experience for students entering the world of occupational therapy.

Thank you for learning, growing, and collaborating with us at every stage of life!

Big news for our Casa Grande campus- the Phoenix Suns Phoenix Mercury Foundation have officially awarded us a grant to build a Fireslammers multi-sport Champions Court in CG 🌳🔥🏆🏀🎾🏐!!!

We were honored to attend the PSPMF 24/25 Grantee Night at center court of the alongside 35 other organizations transforming our communities in truly impactful ways. Big shout out to , , & for building a legacy of champions for our Athletes in Casa Grande and across Arizona!!

The Soirée of the Season!
Our 3rd Annual Autumn Soirée was beyond anything we could have imagined!

An evening of celebration, purpose, inclusion, and possibility came together under The Opportunity Tree & to the sounds of The Phoenix Symphony, celebrating over 60 years of supporting people with intellectual disabilities. From the energy, to the atmosphere, to the music, and the connections shared — it's clear that our community is stronger together.

Halloween across the Tree ... Spoooooky & Spectacular! 👻

Our Maricopa campus lit up the with Pennywise Pandemonium taking our Members and staff to the depths of Derry with festive foods, mind bending decorations, aaaaall the Halloween jams🕺🧟, and a costume line-up that stole the SHOW!

In Phoenix, our Supported Aging Members also crushed the Trick-Or-Treat circuit in frightening fashion, while our Casa Grande and Avondale crews haunted their hallows... 🎃!

We stepped into a whole new world… and didn’t want to leave!
Our Members were captivated watching Aladdin JR. performed by the incredible cast of Empowered Theater & Arts & TheaterWorks. The energy and heart poured into every scene and song jumped off the stage as the show transported us on a magic carpet ride through this timeless classic! 💜💫

The best part? Experiencing actors of all abilities shine on stage and being inspired to do the same by getting to meet the cast after the performance🎭🎬🤝.

Big shout out to Empowered Theater and Arts for always breaking a leg and for continuing to create spaces where everyone’s light gets to shine.✨
