Last Thursday, our Southwest District of Kiwanis International Aktion Club volunteered at the The Phoenix Symphony annual Savor The Symphony event to celebrate the power of music, connect with the community, and catch a behind the scenes rehearsal of Disco Divas before the big weekend performance 💃🎵🎻🎶!! Our Members helped 'orchestrate' a wonderful experience by greeting guests, taking photos of attendees and guiding guests through the various event areas. We got lucky enough to catch up with our friends & Susan Casper ABC15 too, who always crush it for our community🌎! Thank you to The Phoenix Symphony for always showing up for us, and here's to connecting our communities together!

What a day for our Special Olympics Arizona Fireslammer cheerleaders! Teams from all of our campuses hit the floor last week to rep Fireslammer Nation and compete against other squads from across the state! Phoenix and Casa Grande each took home silver, and the mighty Maricopa squad took home the gold! 🥈🥈🥇
Congrats to all of our Athletes for showing yet again how the FS Nation belts it our for the world to hear! 💚💚💚

Over 💯 of our Members, staff, and community partners joined together at our Phoenix Campus for the Sweetheart Ball of the weekend!! ❤️

The sparkling bubbles and chocolate fondue were flowing 🥂 🫕 , the photobooth lit up the scene, the dancefloor was the fanciest venue in town, and our Royal Leaves winners were the Belles of the Ball 👗👠!

Huge shoutout to the Salt River Project (SRP) Boosters and CVS Pharmacy teams for volunteering and helping make the Ball one for the books, couldn’t have done without you! Keep the love everybody ❤️!

Fireslammer Nation pulled up to Hoop City for the PV Area basketball tournament yesterday! Our 4 teams and 65 Skills Athletes lit up the courts American Sports Center bringing home 🥇🥈🥉across the board. Most importantly, the camaraderie, the teamwork, and the bonds forged on the court were on full display from the opening tip off through the final buzzer. So proud of all of our Athletes for bringing the inspiration, the hustle, and the heart everytime. 🌳🔥💛 Fireslammers on 3!!

Reading up!
Our Senior and Adult Members had the joy of welcoming author Veronica Iniguez, who took us to the depths of the ocean with her book Captain and Me at Sea! In addition to the wonderful delivery, the experience sparked movement, conversation, curiosity, and connection, allowing us to fully step into the story. Moments like this remind us that learning never stops and that stories have the power to bring people together in the most meaningful ways.

Huge thank you to and .booklover for bringing Captain and Me at Sea! and can't wait for the next author to come visit the Tree!

Our Kiwanis Aktion Club Members already have a long list of service projects lined up for 2026! For us, volunteering & supporting the community is more than just another activity; it's how friendships grow, skills are developed, confidence builds, and community truly comes to life.🤝

We are incredibly grateful for the partners who continue to open their doors and welcome our Members in making the world a better place!

Population - 6, memories made - countless.
Our Members recently saddled up for a trip to Tortilla Flat, the oldest operating stagecoach town in Arizona. Nestled in the Superstition Mountains, this historic stop on the Apache Trail offered our crew a taste of Arizona’s rich past, a bite of local flavor , and a chance to leave a mark (check out our dollar bill on the wall)! From exploring ghost town stories to soaking in desert views, just another day at the Tree-wild wild west style! 🤠🌵

Through hands-on activities, community outings, unique experiences, and career exploration days, our Members practice independence and start imagining what’s possible after high school each & every day. 💚

Our Avondale Members took flight (on land!) with a visit to the Pima Air & Space Museum Pima Air and Space Museum ✈️, one of the largest aviation museums in the world! From historic warplanes to a retired Air Force One jet, our crew explored decades of aviation history and innovation up close. Wheels up!

Big news, big moves! 💪
We're officially launching our adaptive fitness classes with Special Strong in our EōS Fitness Fireslammers Fitness Center! Thanks to a generous grant from Jack Ingebritson Foundation, we are transforming our regular gym sessions into structured, specialized, & focused fitness training every Monday and Thursday for our Members of all abilities & all ages. Fireslammers up!! 🏋️🌳🔥
