Glute bridges are excellent low-load activation exercises, meaning that they prep your glutes for more strenuous lifts like the back squat and deadliftβ

Glute bridges be used to gain lean muscle by performing high repetitions or increasing lower body strength.

If your just starting to train your glutes, glute bridge techniques are done with light weight and fall into the 20- to 60 rep range. This may vary from trainee to trainee everyone. The key is to focus on quality over quantity.
