Here is my first interview on I Heart Radio back in August 2015... It has led to my co-hosting a monthly show with January Jones. I will be sharing all past interviews, but I hope you enjoy this first one about my experience as a caregiver to my late husband for 11 years and my journey writing The Eldercare Consultant, finding an agent and having it published.

Wow, I just had some heartwarming news...I had a family that was in financial distress and could not afford the full monthly fee while they were waiting for the VA benefit to kick in. One of my favorite care homes agreed to care for their mother at a significantly reduced rate until the benefit started to pay and at that time, they could raise the fee to the normal amount. Well, the VA keep giving everyone the run around even though they had approved the application. They simply wouldn't pay the family the money! The care home owner, the family and myself were doing everything possibly to light a fire under the VA's butt and finally, nine months after approval, the money came through. My point is that I am so grateful to see this care home owner stand by my family and love their mother! There are really, really good people in this world

The Arizona Republic has a section called Living Well A-Z. They graciously included my next seminar in their October calendar and I'm so grateful. It's not that easy to get onto their calendar, but their editor, Paula Hubbs Cohen, felt this was a worthwhile class. Thank you, Paula!

My next free seminar is 10/15 at 6:30 at the Mustang Library in Scottsdale. Reservations are required. I will be educating the public on what is assisted living, the different options available to them, how to know when it's time and so much more. If you know of someone who is struggling with a loved one, please let them know.
