She continued to labor on with the most amazing support team. I harp all the time on how important your care provider is and this is why. Her midwife remained a loving support throughout her labor. Checking on her often. Never speaking a word of doubt. Always encouraging her on her path. In this photo you see providing counter pressure to relieve her back pain. I can tell you right now there are VERY few hospital providers that will give this type of care. You birth outcome is absolutely influenced by your care provider and the hospital in which you birth.

And her amazing husband never left her side. Even through his own exhaustion he was an ever encouraging energy. You could feel his love and admiration for his wife as they walked this long journey together. In this photo you see him giving her a pep talk as her emotions began to take hold.

Your birth team matters! Gonna say it again for the people in the back…YOUR BIRTH TEAM MATTERS!!
