🍝QUICK AND HEALTHY PASTA DINNER
This is the type of dinner I throw together when I’m short on ingredients, and have box of pasta in the pantry. It is full of veggies, packed with protein, and is always a hit in our house 👊🏼
RECIPE:
- 1 box pasta (I used )
- 1 jar of red sauce
- 8oz package of mushrooms, chopped
- 1.25 lb ground turkey
- garlic powder, salt & pepper
- Fill a large pot with water and bring it to a boil. When boiling, add the pasta and cook according to the package.
- Meanwhile, preheat a large cast iron skillet over medium heat. Add about a tbsp of olive oil, and add the mushrooms. Cook, stirring occasionally for about 5 minutes, until they are brown.
- Remove the mushrooms and add the ground turkey. Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir occasionally for about 10 minutes or so, until it is brown and cooked through.
- Drain the pasta and add it back to the big pot. Combine the pasta, red sauce, mushrooms, and ground turkey.
- Stir it all together and serve it in bowls!
