Explaining your birth center choice to friends and family like…😅

Here’s some helpful language to use:

Birth centers offer licensed care, evidence-based practices, and a supportive environment, with safety always at the center of every decision.

But remember, at the end of the day, you don’t need to convince anyone. Just share what matters to you.

If you ever need help explaining your decision to a partner, spouse, or family member, we’re here for those conversations too. 🌸

Understanding insurance and birth care can feel overwhelming. We’re here to help 🤍

Our Medical Director, Dr. Nichelle Whitehead, is an in-network provider with several major insurance plans, and Blossom is also contracted as an in-network facility with many of them. That means, depending on your plan, insurance may help cover both your provider and facility care.

Because every plan is different, we always recommend completing our Verification of Benefits so our team can give you a clear, personalized estimate of your out-of-pocket costs before your due date.

Have questions about your coverage, cash-pay options, or health shares? Our team is happy to walk you through it.

We would love to give a warm welcome to our newest midwife, Logan Weir, MSN, CNM as she joins our Blossom family. 🌼

Logan is a Certified Nurse-Midwife born and raised in Arizona. She has worked as a labor and delivery since 2019 and earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Frontier Nursing University, graduating as a Certified Nurse-Midwife in 2025. Her path to midwifery began after the birth of her first son at age 19—an experience that shaped her philosophy of care and led her to pursue nursing school the following year with the goal of becoming a midwife.
During her own pregnancy, Logan had to travel almost an hour to access midwifery care. That experience solidified her belief that everyone deserves access to high-quality, compassionate midwifery services close to home. This belief continues to guide her work as a full-scope midwife.
Logan practices with a strong commitment to supporting physiologic birth, shared decision-making, and individualized care. She feels deeply honored to be part of people’s journeys through pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and across the full spectrum of reproductive and women’s health.
Outside of work, Logan is a mother of five kids and three kitties. She enjoys reading, hiking, and spending time with friends and family.
Welcome, We are so glad you are here! ✨

If you’re considering an unmedicated birth but feel unsure, you’re not alone…

We’ve supported so many women who walked in with doubts, wondering if they were strong enough, if it would be too painful, or if they’d know what to do. And time and time again, we see the same realization unfold:

Your body was made for this. 🤰

We know an unmedicated birth can feel intimidating, but knowledge is power. The more you understand how your body works, the more confident you’ll feel walking into birth.

If you have questions, give us a call. We’d love to answer them.

One of the most important decisions you’ll make for your birth is who you choose as your birth partner. ✨️

If you had a husband, friend, or family member as your birth partner and they made a significant difference in how you experienced birth, here’s a gentle reminder to thank them. Share this post with them and tell them how grateful you are. Because they might not fully realize the impact they had on you. 💛

Giving birth at Blossom is a very different experience from giving birth in a hospital.

Here are a few key things you’ll experience:

✨️ Your birth happens in a private, home-like suite, not a clinical room. You won’t be surrounded by constant monitors, medical equipment, or routinely hooked up to IVs.

✨️ You’re free to move around, eat, drink, and labor in positions that feel good to your body. Laboring in positions that feel right can help support progress and encourage baby into an optimal position.

✨️ You’re encouraged to use comfort tools like water, birth balls, breathing techniques, essential oils, and anything else that helps you feel calm and relaxed. Feeling safe and supported helps oxytocin flow, which plays a big role in labor.

✨️ Your birth space stays quiet and intentional. The only people in the room are your midwife, birth assistant, and the birth partners you choose. Your comfort and sense of safety come first.

For many families, this feels like a meaningful shift away from the clinical hospital setting and can lead to a more positive birth experience. Many of our families tell us giving birth at Blossom was one of the best decisions they’ve ever made.

We’d love to hear. What matters most to you when it comes to giving birth? 💛
