Thank you, Alley, for the best possible gift I could imagine. 🤩 You built me my very own LEGO spacecraft—complete with two astronauts—and it absolutely made my year. The thoughtfulness, the time you put into it, and the heart behind it mean more to me than I can express.

Practicing yoga together and truly getting to know each other has been such a gift in itself. With our main studio closing, this gesture means even more. But I know this isn’t goodbye. We will see each other again, and our yoga community will continue to be something bright and positive wherever we go.

As many of you have heard, Real Hot Yoga is closing its doors. Change is never easy, but as we all know, when one door closes, another opens. If you’re searching for a new place to practice, here are two wonderful options to keep your practice strong and your community connected.

1. Urban Zen Yoga
Just ten minutes from Real Hot Yoga, Urban Zen offers a beautiful space, an uplifting community, and truly fantastic teachers. They offer both heated and unheated classes, and Pilates will be joining the schedule after the New Year. It’s a warm, welcoming studio where you’ll feel at home the moment you walk in.

2. Maydwell Yoga Virtual Studio
If practicing from home suits your lifestyle, we invite you to join our Maydwell Yoga virtual studio. We’re launching a full online schedule with a wide variety of classes, including a fun and challenging 30-minute core FeetUp inversion class. With our pre-opening membership special, you’ll receive unlimited live online classes plus access to our virtual library, so you can practice anytime that works best for you.
Pre-opening special: $32/month, no contracts, no cancellation fees. Special ends December 31.

For those currently enrolled in teacher training, we are actively discussing the best path forward for you now that Real Hot Yoga is closing. We will meet soon and share updates as quickly as possible to ensure you feel supported every step of the way.

Maydwell Yoga is officially opening its virtual studio on January 1st, 2026, and we’re so excited to finally share it with you.

This won’t be a one-teacher platform; our virtual studio brings together your favorite local instructors, teaching live so you can practice with real community from wherever you are. And if you can’t make a class in real time, every session will be recorded and added to our on-demand library for you to practice anytime.

Our lineup includes a wide range of classes to support every body and every schedule:
Traditional Hot26 (Bikram), Hot34 for students wanting to go deeper into the Bikram/Ghosh lineage, FeetUp inversion classes, Vinyasa Flow, Yin, Yoga Sculpt, Pilates, Bed Yoga, and even Sound Baths; all from the comfort of home. Practice solo or with a friend, morning or evening.

Accessible. Affordable. Authentic.

Our pre-opening membership (available until December 31, 2025) goes live tomorrow at noon for only $32, and that rate will never increase as long as you keep your membership active. Let this become your main practice space, or a supportive addition to your in-person studio routine. We can’t wait to practice with you.

Ever wondered why lying down, closing your eyes, and just listening to gongs, chimes, and singing bowls feels so healing?

Let’s talk SCIENCE! 🧬🔬You know I am long-winded, but hang in there. This is interesting!!

Science is catching up with what ancient traditions already knew: sound frequencies can change how your brain and body function.

Research shows:
🌟Brainwave Entrainment-Your brain shifts from fast, alert beta waves to slower, relaxed alpha and theta states (PubMed, 2023).
🌟Improved Heart-Rate Variability-Sound sessions activate the parasympathetic (“rest and repair”) system (MDPI, 2023).
🌟Better Mood + Less Tension-In a peer-reviewed study, participants felt significantly less tension, anger, fatigue, and depressed mood after a single singing bowl meditation (Goldsby et al., J Evid Based Complementary Altern Med, 2016).

So, yes! Sound healing is more than a vibe. It is science-backed vibrational medicine.

You DO NOT need a spa or studio to experience this. You can create your own sound baths at home!

💕Start with a Tibetan or crystal singing bowl, a tuning fork, or even chimes (you can find inexpensive options online or in specialty shops).
💕Find a quiet space, dim the lights, and play with rhythm and tone.
💕Focus on your breath and let the sound guide your attention inward.
💕Maybe even invite a few friends over eventually and practice the instruments together. 🥰

With a little time and practice, you can become your own sound therapist; tuning your body, mind, and spirit back to harmony.

Hello! My name is Brooke and I am a 500-HR certified Yoga Instructor. As an Air Force Veteran and having deployed to Afghanistan for a total of 4 years, I have personally experienced the amazing benefits yoga can provide when practiced on a regular basis. I am extremely humbled when my students confess that yoga relieves aches and pains that they have been living with for years. I've witnessed students finally finding an outlet to alleviate their anxiety, panic attacks, and/or PTSD. Since finding Yoga and experiencing and witnessing some of these benefits for myself, I have made it a personal goal to help as many people as I can to find their calm.

​I know how hard it can be to incorporate a regular fitness routine into today's hectic lifestyle. Traveling regularly for work, trapped with extremely long commutes to the office, busy at home with new babies, working multiple jobs, going to school full time, or whatever your circumstances, I empathize; I've been there! This is why I provide plenty of classes to fit everyone’s schedule! So take a journey with me and together we can find our own vision of enlightenment.
