Another Challenge in the books! So proud of all 20 participants who pushed themselves this month! Our goal was to reach at least 100 miles for the entire month, we had 7 people who surpassed that goal- shoutout to Andy N, Lauren A, , , , & ! 👏🏼
Andy N was our overall winner with an amazing 214.7 & was right behind with 170.4 miles! We hope you all continue to be active this month & we look forward to our May Challenge! 🎉

Our monthly challenges is our way trying to create an active community & help motivate others to be the healthiest version of themselves! Most people know that exercise can help you lose weight, but it’s so much more than that.. being active also helps improve your mental health!

Here’s a short article on the subject
“Running can be another tool in improving mental health, and the benefits from this mode of exercise can be achieved in as few as 10 minutes. If you are looking to give your brainpower a boost, you may want to consider incorporating short runs into your week. As with any exercise, consult with a healthcare provider before starting a regimen, and ideally, form a plan with a certified running coach for optimal results.”

Happy Transformation Tuesday!

“40. 40 was a number that was always in my head. Growing up I was subconsciously worried about turning 40. My grandmother had a heart attack at 40 and my mom had a stroke at 42 and was diagnosed with Non Hodgkin Lymphoma at 45. So, the thought of turning 40 kept me up at night. 1/28/21 I turned that dreaded number. I was over weight, stressed, anxious (all the time), didn’t sleep, and was so sick of looking at my fat ass. I knew I needed to make my health a priority. The time keeps ticking and I keep telling myself nows the time. You should of started sooner but, here you are. I see a friend who was looked great, she was kind of glowing. I asked her what she was doing and she said she was seeing a dietitian. That word. Dietitian. To me it was a sign. I remember my mom seeing a dietitian after her stroke. And to be honest that was something I hadn’t thought about. October I make the call. I was ready. I felt it. October 26th I meet Dylan. He had a student with him. We talked. We laughed. We clicked. He was so easy to talk to. He made me feel comfortable. He’s nonjudgmental. And he’s truthful. We never talked about how much weight I needed to lose. Just talked about my goals and the plan he thought would work for me. Again, I felt it, this is what I need. This was the time. We schedule to meet the following week. He sends me off with what I call my fat records. I get in the car and cry. I did it. The following week we meet. We talk. I get on the scale and down 6 pounds the first week. I see him weekly. I make it a priority. For me. To show up. For me. So, I’m not at my goal just yet (we’ve only put a number to it once) but this is a journey to better myself. To make being in my 40’s not so dreaded. Dylan and I talked about a testimonial for him for social media. As I write this I question was this really for him???”
