Invisalens

Invisalens Invisalens is a brand of custom-designed retainers (overnight correction lenses) designed to manage myopia or nearsightedness, especially among children.

Founded by one of Arizona’s top eye care specialists, Mark Page; Invisalens is a brand of custom-designed retainers (overnight correction lenses) designed to manage and arrest the development of myopia or nearsightedness, especially among children. How does it work? A person with myopia has an eyeball that is too elongated or a cornea that is too curved, which is why the light entering the eye cannot focus clearly, thus, distance vision becomes blurred. The use of overnight lenses, also medically known as corneal refraction, overnight eyesight correction or Orthokeratology (Ortho-K), involves the wearing of custom-made gas permeable lenses that gently shape the cornea while a person sleeps. In effect, the wearer wakes up to much clearer eyesight, and will not have to wear corrective lens or prescription glasses for the rest of the day. This brand of pediatric eye care solution for nearsighted children is widely preferred by parents because it is FDA-approved, safe, proven effective, reversible, and non-invasive. Children can be free of glasses and more easily go swimming or practice martial arts. It is also not traumatic as compared to surgical treatment options for myopia like LASIK. With proper use and regular consultation, Invisalens can help children triumph over myopia so they can see better, dream bigger and do more. Find out more about Invisalens at www.invisalens.com.

In the last 40 years, the number of kids who've gone nearsighted has increased by 60%.

A big cause of this is the constant focus doctors put on wearing prescription glasses.

Glasses only make it worse in the long-term, causing more damage to the eyes.

And the stronger the glasses, the higher the risk of going blind…

There's an alternative to this.

A non-invasive method that strengthens the eyes.

When I was 12 years old, I learned that my grandma's eyesight had deteriorated. We went to visit her in the nursing home and one of my brothers said, "grandma doesn't know what you look like."

My wonderful mother then replied with something profound, "of course she knows who you are, she just doesn't know your features."

This was one of the reasons I decided to become an eye doctor. In the last 40 years, the number of kids becoming near-sighted has gone up over 60%, and research shows that being near-sighted can be as dangerous to the health of our eyes as smoking is to the health of our heart.

The stronger the glasses, the higher the risk of going blind.

Our Story

Dr. Page’s own vision struggles helped propel him into the optometry field. After earning a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the University of South Dakota and a Doctor of Optometry from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, he launched his career in Phoenix. But when his dad developed a hole in his right eye and lost his vision, Dr. Page was working at a location that was not equipped with the right technology to monitor his dad’s good eye. His dad said I would rather see my son. Thanks to his father’s backing Dr. Page launched Arizona’s Vision Eye Care Center in 1994. His father is now 94 years old and still has 20/20 vision in his good eye.
