Governor Katie Hobbs announced today that her proposed FY27 budget will allow the Arizona Department of Veterans’ Services to continue serving our Arizona Veterans.

The Governor’s proposal includes a $2 million supplemental to continue to enhance services to our four Arizona State Veteran Homes and eliminate the sunset clause for ADVS’s Military Family Relief Fund, making it a permanent fund at ADVS.

Welcome 2026!

In observance of New Years Day, the main ADVS office in Phoenix and the offices at our Veteran Memorial Cemeteries will be closed. Cemetery grounds will still be open for visitors wanting to visit loved ones.

Normal business hours will resume Friday, January 2.

Founded in 1636, the National Guard was established as a citizen force meant to protect families and towns from attack. Today, National Guard soldiers are always ready to defend Americans in the event of an emergency.

Don't miss Wreaths Across America Day happening Dec. 13 at one of our Arizona Veteran Memorial Cemeteries in Bellemont, Marana or Sierra Vista!

Come out to help remember and honor our fallen service members. All ceremonies start at 10AM at the respective cemetery followed immediately by a wreath laying.

On this day 84 years ago, more than 2,400 U.S. service members and civilians were killed and another 1,100 were injured after a Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. The attack destroyed or sank dozens of U.S. Navy battle ships, including the USS Arizona, and destroyed 188 aircrafts.

This day is designated as National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day to honor those who died on that fateful day in Hawaii. To those who lost their lives in service to our country, thank you for your sacrifice and service.

Kick off the holiday season with Merry Vet-Mas this Saturday at the VFW Post 720 in Phoenix! There will be free admission, food and raffle tickets for all Veterans in attendance.
