Tomorrow is National Pi Day!

Pi, the number that describes the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter, has fascinated mathematicians for centuries. Physicist Larry Shaw first celebrated the day in 1988 at San Francisco’s Exploratorium. In 2009, the U.S. Congress made it official.

Simple ways to celebrate:
• Bring a pie to share at work or home
• Walk 3.14 miles
• Spend a few minutes outside noticing the beauty of the natural world and how Pi is part of it
