Stillwater Hospice would like to wish everyone a happy, Día De Los Mu***os (Day of the Dead). 💜🩵🎉

Today is a day of remembrance to acknowledge loss and celebrate life; which is such an amazing thing.

In a hospice setting, you can engage in activities that support storytelling and honor the deceased to support grief processing.

Tips for Hospice setting:
- Create an Ofrenda
- Incorporate sensory elements such as flowers, candles, and music
- Make a memory jar

Stillwater Hospice would love to wish you all a Happy Halloween!🦇👻

During the time of spooky season and Halloween, it can be used for a gentle and personalized celebration for hospice patients and their loved ones. 🥳

Some tips would be: 🩵🩵
- prioritizing comfort over scary
- creating a calm predictable environment
- allowing patients in flexibility and optional participation

Some engaging activities can include:
- painting pumpkins 🎃
- baking fall treats🍪🍞
- talk about past memories with Halloween
- make comfortable costumes
