LMTs Arizona: The 57th Legislature, Second Regular Session, officially opened on January 12, 2026, with a focus on tax, school, and housing issues BUT that doesn't mean there won't be changes being proposed that will affect our profession and hopefully in positive ways that have been needed for quite some time. Start paying attention! So far, I am the only one talking about this so don't live under rock! This is just a pre-file and there will likely be more, as well as seeing this one updated.

FYI to all AZ LMTs: AZ State Board of Massage Therapy- the fourth floor of the building flooded and there’s been an extensive amount of damage and they’re shutting the building down through next week. We will not be able to handle any walk-ins. While folks shouldn’t be ‘walking in’ anyway for licensing purposes, the building will not be open!
To be clear, this will not slow down the renewal process. The entire staff has the ability to work remotely. For some reason, folks still go in person which will not be able to happen much longer. I’m told they get about 5 people a day doing this. The portal works now so everyone will have to get used to doing things online just like every other professional license holder.
