Desert Valley Testing (DVT) is an ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited laboratory that employs industry educated and experienced chemists to ensure the most accurate analytical testing of your cannabis product. Our laboratory was developed based on Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) guidelines for good laboratory practices and is licensed by the State of Arizona Department of Health. We believe it is important to help ensure the health and safety of consumers, and to maximize the quality of our client’s products. To that affect, DVT uses proven analytical methods for cannabis testing. Our experienced chemists use industry standard instrumentation for proper analysis of cannabis products. Our range of testing includes cannabinoid potency, terpenes, pesticides, microbials, and heavy metals. Our staff are dedicated to providing reliable, accurate results. Our reputation is built on the foundation of honesty, integrity and ethical conduct. We are open to laboratory tours, audits, and review of any service we provide.

Our Story

Desert Valley Testing came to be from a need our founder, Tabitha, had. In 2008, Tabitha woke up one morning with cloudy vision and an abnormally shaped pupil that continued to grow. After two years her doctors finally diagnosed her with a rare eye condition called Iridocorneal Endothelial Syndrome, or ICE. Following multiple surgeries, loss of vision in her left eye, and no relief from the extreme pain and pressure her condition was causing her, Tabitha’s doctor recommended medical ma*****na. Shortly after, she obtained her patient card and began researching strains that would help relieve her ailments.

After visiting many dispensaries in search of strains high in cannabigerol or CBG, a cannabinoid famous for its ability to reduce inflammation and treat intraocular pressure, Tabitha noticed that not all medical ma*****na being sold in Arizona was being tested.

Since she was already an accomplished organic chemist with experience using Gas Chromatography (GC), Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) and High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) instrumentation, Tabitha decided to start testing her own ma*****na. Through that she realized that every patient should know what’s in their medical ma*****na so that they are also able to choose the appropriate strain that has the most benefits for their condition.

Desert Valley Testing opened its doors in November of 2014 and is continuously dedicated to the testing of cannabis products and the education of why testing is important. We believe in ethical, accurate data in combination with making sure the patients receiving the data understand it. Cannabis education is a group effort and DVT is motivated to be a leader within it.
